This place makes the best white fish in town. The serving size is more than one person can eat and it is cooked to perfection ... outside crisp, inside flaky! Their pinto beans are yummy as well.

This restaurant is on the far east end of Maggie Valley.
In the past, my wife and I by-passed it for one of the more centrally located home cooking restaurants in the valley.
Yesterday we finally stopped in for lunch.
We got good service and we both had excellent lunches.
My wife had a taste for a hotdog and was quite happy with the one she got.
She raved about her cucumber salad. Our waitress was kind enough to get instructions from the cook about how to make it.
I had an excellent BLT and home-made cole slaw.
If we make it back to Maggie Valley, we will eat here again.

very inexpensive prices for good proportionate sized meals - it's no "all-you-can-eat" buffet - and when my wife and I left, we felt satisfied...the wait staff were responsive to our needs and continued to ask if we were ok... we will be visiting this place again..

We ate at the Farm House yesterday for the luncheon special of chicken livers. Very good. Lightly battered and not greasy. Served with either white or brown gravy. Nothing was over salted like we find so many places. The cucumber and onion side dish was really fresh and crispy. Husband had the country fried steak which he could cut with his fork. Again, not heavily breaded. Cooked cabbage as a side was well seasoned. Staff was friendly, although our waitress did not show much experience. But, employees are very hard to find right now in a tight job market. Cut them some slack. Daily specials are a good bet to try.
