Locally owned, casual, friendly and inviting place—I could eat here once a week! The menu changes and is fresh and creative. Some of the dishes are staple items but most of them are unusual and “farm to table-esque”. For example, there are usually several types of homemade hummus offered and seasonal soups and salads that dare not disappoint. Yesterday I ate with a friend and had the “folk moot salad” which was a take on an event that takes place in July in Waynesville every year. My husband loves the soups that they feature which are always homemade, fresh and unique in texture and flavor. Whether you use Kaninis for catering an event, or just to pick up something from their refrigerator to take home or to treat a shut in, you will know that you are buying an excellent product. They have desserts that look like heaven but I am always so satisfied with my meal that there’s no room left for dessert.
