My wife saw this place passing by and mentioned she never has steamed oysters so, decided to give them a try.

Small place, an "oyster bar" type, where food and drinks flow.

Ordered steamed oysters, look to be @2 dozen in a tray and fried flounder.

Kind of disappointed with the oysters, poor choice in presentation...on a tray WITHOUT half shell and small cup of hot butter.

We envisioned steamed oysters in a half shell on a bed of greens, cocktail sauce and butter?

Although they were delicious, visually not too enticing.

Flounder on the other hand was very tasty, hot and served with hot fries.

For $40 meal for a couple, they are comparable to other sea food places we visited.

Keep in mind, this place is basically a bar that serves food. For Sunday evening, they were bit loud but again, they are a bar.

Because of food quality vs quantity vs pricing, we rate them as "mid-range" price restaurant.

VERY limited parking too.

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting this small restaurant located on the water in Swansboro, NC.
We had seafood. My wife had scallops and I had fried oysters and shrimp. The food was exceptional and plenty to take home. We both had the largest scallops and oysters we had seen and truly enjoyed all the food and the personal service.

Can't wait to visit again but do not expect it to be a luxurious restaurant. Come as you are and eat inside or on the deck that is on the water.

Don't be deceived by modest outside appearance! This place has excellent food and great service. Hush puppies are to die for. Shrimp and steamed oysters very very good. Low key friendly bar area or other seating. I love this place!

Excellent steamed oysters or whole flounder are my favorites. Most things on the menu are great.
I would suggest you skip the local fried clams.

Ironically the pre frozen clams are much tastier. The local clams are hard to find on the plate due to a good number of fries and very few clams.

Also if you love steamed oysters they are great in season but the off season oysters are purchased from a local grower and are not as salty as true in season oysters.
