We stayed here for two nights. The room was surprisingly large, with a serviceable bathroom, and no frills sink, fridge etc. It was great value accommodation at $75 per night. The highlight though, is the dinner. I've never seen such huge amounts of food on one plate! The pub seemed to fill up with locals and everyone was really friendly.
We went there to visit Barna Mia, which is close by and really worth the trip!

We arrived in Narrogin on a Sunday afternoon and the courtyard was full of local families enjoying a solo musician. The Pub stayed full of locals for dinner that evening which was steak and chips or fish and chips for $10. Our room upstairs cost $75 for a double including a continental breakfast in the room.
The room was surprisingly spacious for an old pub and contained a eclectic collection of profoundly retro furniture. However it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom functional. There was a small table and chairs to eat breakfast, a fridge and a television.
If you only do style and luxury, let's face it, you probably won't be staying outside the tourist towns in rural Western Australia anyway. If you enjoy traditional Aussie pubs or want to see what a real WA farming community looks like, The Duke of York is good fun and good value. It is located in the main street of town. Oddly most of the bar staff looked like international backpackers who had paused there.
