Located just a 4 minute drive from Tanunda, this very comfortable B&B is a great place to stay. The overwhelming aspect are the hosts, Judi and Lee. They are outgoing, very personable and engaging and they make the whole experience fun. The breakfast (Lee's cooking is awesome, try his poached eggs, tomatoes, bacon, etc) is excellent. The room is average, the little half basin is not the best. The grounds are beautiful and the lounge is good. The free wireless works well. If we come this way again we'll certainly want to book the Barossa House B&B. The Barossa wine region is not to be missed, the towns are quaint. Eat at the Club in Tanunda for a good "club food" experience.

Judy & Lee were very friendly & welcoming to guests but were also astute enough to give their guests plenty of space. Guests also had access to a cosy & very comfortable lounge room to use when the weather was bad. Barossa House is between Tanunda & Nuriootpa and is very well located for visiting the wineries of the Barossa & Clare Valley. Lee was very helpful with advice about wineries to visit & places to dine.

We stayed at Barossa House for 2 nights whilst touring the wine country. Lee was a wonderful host and even arranged a wine tour for us. We had a wonderful room with a private entrance in the back. Breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed the company of the other guests at the B&B. One evening, Lee served up some wonderful wine and encouraged us all to stay in and have dinner with them ... he truly enjoys life and is a lot of fun. Although not luxurious, Barossa house is a pleasant and personable place to stay. The only downside was no internet in the rooms however Lee welcomed us to use his computer and check our email when he wasn't on the internet.

Barossa house is a hosted B&B in a 1920s homestead. The property has a beautiful garden with ducks and chickens who provide the eggs for breakfast. At night the property is well-lit making it easy to find as the street is dark with no street lights. There are 3 guestrooms and car parking is available on site. Our rate was $160 per night.

The room was decorated "grandma style" - flowery and frilly bedsheets, lace tissue box cover etc. Amenities included a shabby ensuite (shower, toilet and small handbasin), TV, small fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and port and chocolates were provided (neither of good quality in my opinion). The worst thing about the room was every time the toilet was flushed, a nasty sewerage odour permeated the room. This sewerage smell was also evident at the back of the property.

Lee was a great resource providing us with a map and suggestions for wineries, dining and local attractions. We had dinner at 1918 on his recommendation - it was a comfortable 45 minute walk (or approximately a 5 minute drive) and was a fantastic dining experience - highly recommended.

Breakfast at Barossa house is in a shared dining room and consisted of cereal, fruit, toast, OJ, tea/coffee and a cooked breakfast with choices of eggs, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms.

A nicely run clean B&B with excellent gardens and views across to the vineyards. The location was about the best you could get for touring the Barossa Valley vineyards and was central to most of the best boutique wineries local restaurants.

The breakfasts were very good and eggs from the chickens, (lovely singing ladies located in the back garden) were very special. Loved the wandering waddling ducks and the occasional interloping rabbit amongst the trees.

Car parking is on site.
