This place specialises in honey mead, which is a honey based wine that is served either warm or chilled, only a few places make Mead on South Australia.
This place makes the best, spiced Mead to me- taste like Christmas in a glass. They also have another one I love that taste like Jaffas. Highly recommend for wine and Mead lovers.

We stopped here on our bike wine tour. It was a lovely winery and we tried a few of the wines, they had a large selection of fortified wines and meads which was different to the other winery's we had visited on our trip. We ended up buying a couple of bottles to take home.

We visited Chateau Dorrien on a cold, wet day.....perfect for some warmed mead. Mead is like drinking a liquid hot cross bun. There are also some great deals on some great wine that are only available at the cellar door. The displays inside are a bit tired....but it's still worth a look for curiosity's sake.
