3 night stay over June Long Weekend

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 16 June 2017
We stayed as a group at the Vine Court motel property, which is a separate accommodation option of the Vine Inn Hotel in Nuriootpa. It's located about 300 metres further down the main road (on the opposite side of the road) from the Vine Inn itself. We were allocated the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartments at the rear of the motel. The rooms were clean, well laid out and modern. There are 4 beds, a double, 2 singles and a sofa bed. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was neat and tidy, and the hot water was quick and strong. The exhaust fan was a bit noisy, but it was not a big issue. There are outdoor BBQ facilities, which will cost you $1 for 15mins of heat. We dined at the Vine Inn, which has been refurbished since my last visit. The food options were many and varied - I had a roast on night one, and spaghetti & meatballs on another, and both were generous serves. Prices were reasonable. The service was great, and the staff were courteous and attentive. There are other food options, including a bakery and cafes. We were also told that the Roadhouse near the Sturt Highway has good quality, cheap food. Just a note to people from outside SA, bring your coats and jumpers, as the Barossa region in June is very chilly. All in all, a very comfortable and enjoyable long weekend. We'll be back.

Room Tip: We had a corner apartment, and seemed to have slightly more space than other rooms

This is a quiet and comfortable motel in the heart of town and a great place from which to explore the Barossa wine area. Our room was at the back of the premises, away from road noise. It was very spacious and very clean. Bed was comfortable with clean linen in both bedroom and bathroom. Exhaust fan in bathroom was noisy. The usual tea and coffee making facilities as well as iron and ironing board. There is a laundry on site which charges $1 per wash load and $1 for dryer load. It is just a short walk to the Vine Inn for a good meal but there are other small cafes nearby. This motel represents good value for money with comfort and location included!!

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting the Barossa. After checking in at the Vine Inn just down the road we went to check out our room. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the fact that both bedrooms had a bathroom. It was very clean and the kitchen has a microwave and 2 burner electric rings plus plates, cutlery glasses etc. There is also a BBQ area with seating. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good water pressure even when both showers were in use. Although it is on the main road it isn't noisy. You will need to take shampoo and conditioner but they do have body wash in the shower. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice clean room and good shower to recover from the night before.
Noisey heater (air conditioner) no lights when you get in at night and noisey exhaust fan in bathroom
A good stay just had a bad sleep because of noises, just wasn't quiet place.

Excellent facilities. We stayed in a 2 bedroom accommodation which was in a different site to the main hotel which was fine. They had guest laundry facilities for use. They had all you needed for your stay including a pool and spa which is in the main hotel.

Room tip: we were in the back area of the rooms which was nice and quiet.

We stayed here for two nights and were really happy with both the room and the location. Check in at the Vine Inn was very friendly and efficient, and our room was clean, comfortable and attractive. The bed was great, too. Being a short stroll from the Vine Inn, and set back from the road, means it is quiet and restful. We had really hot weather during our visit, so the excellent aircon was much appreciated! Good wifi, too. Highly recommended.
