Review of Halfway Motel
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 7 June 2019
This motel was just what we wanted not too many people and quiet. The welcome was very good with a smile and some milk. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was good just off the main road but nice and quiet from the traffic noise.Would recommend to anyone. Good rates as well.

We stay in Eden regularly and decided to stay at the Halfway this time. The price was ok, the room looked nice and clean.
The bathroom must be from the 70/80s and looks very well used. Broken tiles, scratched plastic mini hand basin and antiquated noisy toilets, it wouldn’t take much to spruce it up. The bed and pillows looked new. The bed was hard but fine to sleep in, I am just wondering of what material the pillows were made of, they were HARD! Pillows are cheap and can be replaced often. This business needs an energetic and hands on owner/manager.
Business is hard but it’s not going to be better if you don’t do the right thing.

Just an overnight stop and it was ideal for me. Yeah, it's a bit old and the bathroom shows it, but the bed and the shower were good and everything was clean. A minor problem was sorted quickly and cheerfully. The wifi was a bit flakey but if you're reliant on wifi maybe you shouldn't leave home.

I'll stay again.

Room tip: Maybe see who's staying upstairs from you.

We arrived late and there was no parking.

Many cars were double parked which was annoying. With two young daughters and arriving late at night it was very inconvenient to have to park further away.

The walls were thin so we could hear our neighbour snoring two nights. The room had an unpleasant musky smell.

I’d been told the table and chairs would be removed so we could fit the portacot in but they were still there which left limited room.

Room was very outdated but was fairly clean. There were however a few bugs on the floor.

The inside of the fridge was a bit dirty and a couple of saucers were also dirty.

Only one glass was provided (a wine glass) and there was no soap.

If there was wifi there was no info about it in the room.

Towels were thin and hard.

Whilst towels were changed they didn’t empty the bins or clean the room.

Note we did get soap and glasses when we asked for them.

Pretty sure the cheap coffee sachets were off.

Bed was hard and uncomfortable and pillows too soft.

The sliding door to the bathroom was broken. The bottom was completely unattached. You could push it forward with one finger. This was dangerous with kids.

There’s not much good to say about this place apart from the bed was clean.

You get what you pay for.
It wasn’t super cheap but was cheap for that time of year.

Definitely only stay here if a single or a couple and you won’t be in the room for very long.

Tiny room. Old amenities. Not sure how clean it was. Shower looked like it was from the 70's. Loud. Cramped. Uncomfortable. Advertised wifi didn't work which seems to be an ongoing issue from other reviews.
I wouldn't stay here again. There's a level of , oh well it's cheap that's ok. But the room rate here isn't cheap at all and the room was awful. No Foxtel. The glasses were dirty. The bathroom sink and shower recess were dirty. Honestly, would not return.

Clean and comfortable but no breakfast on site (though good cafes nearby). Tiny TV. Very thin walls so loud talking neighbours kept us awake much of the night, but hard to blame the owners for this. Not bad overall.
