Review of Eden Nimo Motel
3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 14 Jan 2021
I'm not gonna take a dump on the owners of this tired old motel.
If you just need a room to sleep and put your gear while you trip around the greatness that is Eden and the surrounding areas and you dont care about half decent WIFI (use your mobile hot spot its likely to be way faster) and you get a good deal then this will do.. The chinese family that run it are very friendly. The restaurant was closed due to COVID. The grounds and driveway are in poor condition, the place is old but for $80 a night when everywhere else is $100+ its worth it.. ***bring your own plates, bowls, cutlery and cleaning stuff if you intend eating in the room.. We came with a picnic pack fully prepared and we needed it..
It was a cheap deal, we needed a room for 2 nights and put the savings elsewhere. If your a thrifty person, this place is fine.. If your used to 3-5 stars, go elsewhere.
Date of stay: January 2021
Room Tip: Anywhere away from the main road..

Over priced! The room and bathroom especially was very outdated
The outside lights were so bright I couldn’t sleep stayed on for way too long
The presentation of the overall property was poor and car park was in poor condition with uneven ground and potholes

Arrived and was offered a can of coke or bottle of water. I stayed in room 15. I paid $45 for the room. Yes $45. The room was clean enough for it's age. The carpet was clean but did have ingrained staining. The bathroom was original and some minor mould around tiles on base of wall. Room had tea and coffee and bonus 3 Oreos - delicious. Would have loved a floor towel for the shower. Bed was comfortable. Disappointingly, the restaurant which everyone had been talking up was closed for renovation and I thought he said it had been closed since January but other reviews have mentioned it so it could have been July. Check to see if restaurant open. It was Wednesday night and the Country Club was closed. I had special friend rice from Chinese in town which was OK. There is a large backyard if you have kids. They have some peacocks in cages. They are in the middle of renovating so hopefully willl improve the place. For $45, even $60 - it's a great deal .

Room tip: It is on the northern side of the Highway entering town so ask for a room positioned behind the reception - Somewhere around 15.

Eden Nimo is a nice budget motel that is pretty good value for money.
Nice and clean rooms, good rates, and not too far from town either makes this a nice choice if you're passing through town.
There is also a restaurant on site which sells delicious Chinese food as well.

I was looking for a cheap alternative to camping on our way to the MotoGP at Phillip Island. The place is beyond it’s use by date but was clean and quiet. The friendly staff were all smiles and gave us a room with undercover parking for our bikes.
The golf club across the road provided a nice meal and a beer.
