We ate a late lunch at Causeway Gourmet on a whim, and boy, did it pay off. Mom started with Tomato/Basil soup. I started with Cream of Mushroom. I loved both. My husband tasted the Tomato/Basil and liked it so much, he walked to the counter to order himself a bowl. Main courses were one Reuben sandwich, and two Barnyard Beast sandwiches. Reuben was classic and the Beasts were out of this world. It's called a Barnyard because it has a pile of thinly sliced roast beef, perfectly cooked bacon, goat cheese (cows, pigs, and goat) topped with L&T all sandwiches on grilled rye bread. We were unable to eat dessert for obvious reasons but I can't wait to taste our "to-go" lemon bars tonight. Wait staff were cheerful and very accommodating. Outstanding!
