While visiting family and friends we chose Hampton Inn and found it to be clean and quiet. Everyone was friendly and professional. We stayed 4 nights but no service was provided unless you requested it. We never used the pool, gym or ate breakfast which we were told was limited. The room was standard with a lot of empty wasted space. Large, long bar with single serve coffee pot, microwave and frig. However, no bar sink so had to get water from bathroom for every cup of coffee. Hadn't traveled since before Covid-19 so we were kind of disappointed. Hope this isn't the new normal.

We had a lovely weekend of apple picking planned. On the first night of our stay a storm hit Raleigh and specifically our neighborhood pretty badly. A neighbor of ours called letting us know there was damage to several homes and hail almost 2 inches in diameter. When I asked to check out a day early so we could get home and check on our house they said sure no problem…..from here the customer service and hospitality went bad fast. I asked about refunding my points that I paid with as I was a Hilton Honors member for 5 years no and used to average 200+ nights a year in hotels. The hotel claimed they did not have the ability to issue a refund on the points that only calling Hilton Honors would do that. I called Hilton Honors after 30 minutes they said only the hotel could refund the points and they would instruct them how. So a few days later I speak to the hotel General Manager he says what Hilton said is not true and that only Hilton could refund my points. I again spend 30 minutes on the phone and get told they opened a case number for me and I would hear back from the hotel in 3-5 business days. The hotel then says again they cannot refund the points and closes the case. When I called customer service again the “supervisor” after my third call of 30 minutes says she can credit my account 10,000 points (reservation was 24,000 points). I ask her how this is good customer service for someone who had a home emergency? No response just “I understand”. No clearly you don’t. I will never stay at another Hilton owned property ever again.

Room was exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly and available. Breakfast was great with lots of variety. Entire hotel was quiet. Location was perfect. Close to interstate and tons of restaurants of all description without being in hustle and bustle.
