Joey's Pancake House has been a part of my entire life. It just closed this June for good. I strongly recommend going a little further up the road to The Mountaineer for breakfast.

We were looking forward to eating here since we stayed across the street at Jonathan Creek Inn & Villas, and none of the TA reviews here indicated the business had closed (even those written as recently as 6 days ago!). The recent reviews must have been for stays that predate June 13, because there are now huge signs in the windows that say "Thank you" (presumably for previous business/patrons), and smaller signs out front that say they closed on June 13. Too bad--it seems they had a great business. We ended up at Pop's Grits & Eggs/Pop's Place down the street, which was good but tough to find parking at breakfast.

I would recommend this place to anyone in the area for breakfast. Could be a wait depending on the day and time. The pancakes were great as were the eggs and sausage. Service was good.

We stayed a week and loved every moment and every visit.
The food is awesome no matter when you go to eat.
Get there early, cause people loves this restaurant! It stays crowded.
Well worth the wait and prices are great!
