My husband and I were traveling to Highlands and came through Franklin. I was searching for a bakery online and Rizzo’s came up. We pulled in there and was greeted and treated like royalty in this quaint little cafe/bakery. We looked at a menu and decided to grab a quick bite to eat and share a desert. We had the French Dip Sandwich and a homemade sausage tomato based soup. It was delicious and the service was excellent. We sat on the porch and enjoyed our lunch experience. We will definitely be back. They had a variety of deserts and we want to go back and try them all.

We visited Rizzo’s Bakery and Bistro for the first time this evening. It was a delightful experience from the git/go. We sat in the little room off to the right as you enter. Intimate and easy to converse in without shouting or leaning in. Our server, Stephanie was attentive and fun. She made for an interesting evening. Reservations necessary. Order your desert before it disappears. Wine only. Food delicious with lots of choices. Prices very reasonable.

My husband and I have a second home in the Franklin area and enjoy trying the local restaurants. We had dinner at Rizzo's and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food and stellar service.

The restaurant is located in a free-standing house with plenty of adjacent off-street parking. Weather permitting, a covered patio with baskets of flowers is a nice choice for enjoying your meal or one of the many pastry treats.

Entrees and pastas are served with a choice of soup or salad. The menu includes a nice selections of appetizers and salads, if a full meal is not what you are seeking. One of the evening's soup offerings was the Italian sausage soup. It was the a perfect marriage of sausage, lentils, carrots and onions. The house made multi-grain bread was so delicious we devoured it before our entrees arrived!
There is a nice, reasonably priced wine selection.
The pork schnitzel is a generous portion with a rich dark brown mushroom gravy to accompany it. It is served with a side of spaetzle and the choice of one other side. The chicken special for the night was a lightly breaded fillet with a tasty cream sauce that paired well with the broccolini and roasted red skinned potatoes.
Our server was attentive, fully informed about the menu and made us feel so welcomed.
We enjoyed our meal so much there was just no room for dessert!
Hats off Chef Barbara, server Amy and the rest of the staff at Rizzo's. We look forward to a return visit.
This was likely the best meal we have had in Franklin!

Ordered a chicken dinner, some kind of cheese sauce, Corn mush and undercooked beans. Mush was horrible, chicken was very thin and was told it was a breast, the bread was burnt and the waitress was border line rude. This place was cramped with small tables. We had a party of four and everyone thought the same. As a Franklin resident I will continue to go out of town for a good dining experience. This place is just bad!
