I’d always wanted to go to the top of Chimney Rock, so I finally did! My 73 year old mom made it, too! Those steps though! We took lots of breaks. Mom was disappointed that the flag wasn’t raised, but other than that it was great! Make sure you have good shoes and take a bottle of water even if you think you won’t need it.

The view at the top is worth each step climbed. ( 500 steps each way ). It is a beautiful view overlooking quaint Chimney Rock Village. I will definitely climb to the top again.

Great hike with the family and the dog. Beautiful waterfall. Unique history. Nothing too fancy and not too crowded.

Well worth the climb the views are breathtaking. We also hiked the path to the falls. Going early in the day during off season we saw few people which made it quiet with only the sound of the falls echoing through the trees.

Great place to hike. Beautiful views. The Easter sunrise service is very special. The gates were supposed to be open 5-6 but the lot was full at 530. Be early! Other than that hassle free. Climb up the rocks near the cross for the best view of the sunrise over Lake Lure.
