Made res. on line for a smoking mt. premium room. Checked in and was advised there are no smoking rooms in the Mt.Tower. Tried to change rooms but we were told no rooms available. The room itself was very nice, but the highly touted view of the BEAUTIFUL Blue Ridge Mts. is extreemly false. The view was junked cars on the side of a hill, construction machines and run down buildings on the main street. My wife and I ate at Paula Deens which was a mistake. The food was less than appealing and my wife became sick as a dog about thirty minutes after we finished. This ruined a very nice planned anniversary evening. The casino itself was totally unimpressive. The machines were located helter skelter with very few directions (on the non- traditional ones). The electronic table games are ridiculous with a computer which can easily be manipulated to the desire of the house. No cards, no chips...NO THANKS. The lounge was a joke. Every place we have been has had a nice lounge with small booths and tables with the appropriate lighting. This one looked like someones garage with no ambiance at all. Also I have never had to pay for drinks while playing anywhere else. Fox Woods another indian casino does it right...this place doesn't. Really not high class! A plus was the friendly staff. We did win enough to pay for our trip and have some left over, but I will not be returning until you clean up your act. I can't believe Harrah's has their name attached to this place.

My husband and son, both are Diamond members but we can't get a room. We've tried and tried, but never a room on the weekend. And on the days when it es dead, forget it.
So we've been going to Biloxi (not a Harrah's) and we can get rooms anytime we want
to com and we got some for up to a week. We' also been going to Las Vegas and
hat very good luck there. I'm glas when out Diamond membership runs out, because
it's just not worth playing there. It's a whole lot more fun in Biloxi. We go at least once a month.

Stayed at Harrahs Cherokee on a Sunday night. Very long check in lines, probably due to concert that evening. Room was very large and very nice. BUT.. common areas in this hotel and casino are very dirty. Inside of hotel elevator looks as if it has never been cleaned. Edges of carpeting in hallways showed accumulation of dust and dirt. In casino there were piles of empty coffee cups and drink glasses around the slot machines. Very smoky in casino. (I think it is a state law in North Carolina that you have to smoke) There is a lot of new construction going on, so they evidently plan to attract more customers. If they don't bring the same standards of cleanliness that most Harrahs properties have, this expansion will be wasted. I for one will never return.

If you stay here make sure your wallet is fat because they charge you for everything!!!! Over priced rooms no wifi oh did i say no wifi unbelievable i had to hijack from days inn across the street. Just be prepared wow next thing they will charge you to park. The games are tight ,tight, tight, they are paying for the renovations makes you wonder. Front desk staff could care less about you as long as you are paying.

Made resevations on line, paid for upgraded room. Got there, room was not what we reserved on line. The walk from the Hotel Self Parking garage to the room was unbelievable. Booked a SMOKING, King Bed room. Received, instead a NON SMOKING, 2 double beds. Rooms look presentable, until you take a closer look, rugs not clean, stains on the hallway carpet (badly stained). This is Harrah's, whom we have been staying with fo almost 30 years, seems they are too busy in Cherokee on expanding, that they are not keeping up the older parts of the property. When I complained, the reason they gave me, I am still trying to figure out, it made no sense. She said the ooms were awarded on the amount you play in the casino, but I reminded her, we were not on comps, but had paid for the room. Drove 6 hrs. for this mess, never again. VERY DISAPPOINTED
