My husband and son, both are Diamond members but we can't get a room. We've tried and tried, but never a room on the weekend. And on the days when it es dead, forget it.
So we've been going to Biloxi (not a Harrah's) and we can get rooms anytime we want
to com and we got some for up to a week. We' also been going to Las Vegas and
hat very good luck there. I'm glas when out Diamond membership runs out, because
it's just not worth playing there. It's a whole lot more fun in Biloxi. We go at least once a month.

Stayed at Harrahs Cherokee on a Sunday night. Very long check in lines, probably due to concert that evening. Room was very large and very nice. BUT.. common areas in this hotel and casino are very dirty. Inside of hotel elevator looks as if it has never been cleaned. Edges of carpeting in hallways showed accumulation of dust and dirt. In casino there were piles of empty coffee cups and drink glasses around the slot machines. Very smoky in casino. (I think it is a state law in North Carolina that you have to smoke) There is a lot of new construction going on, so they evidently plan to attract more customers. If they don't bring the same standards of cleanliness that most Harrahs properties have, this expansion will be wasted. I for one will never return.

If you stay here make sure your wallet is fat because they charge you for everything!!!! Over priced rooms no wifi oh did i say no wifi unbelievable i had to hijack from days inn across the street. Just be prepared wow next thing they will charge you to park. The games are tight ,tight, tight, they are paying for the renovations makes you wonder. Front desk staff could care less about you as long as you are paying.

Made resevations on line, paid for upgraded room. Got there, room was not what we reserved on line. The walk from the Hotel Self Parking garage to the room was unbelievable. Booked a SMOKING, King Bed room. Received, instead a NON SMOKING, 2 double beds. Rooms look presentable, until you take a closer look, rugs not clean, stains on the hallway carpet (badly stained). This is Harrah's, whom we have been staying with fo almost 30 years, seems they are too busy in Cherokee on expanding, that they are not keeping up the older parts of the property. When I complained, the reason they gave me, I am still trying to figure out, it made no sense. She said the ooms were awarded on the amount you play in the casino, but I reminded her, we were not on comps, but had paid for the room. Drove 6 hrs. for this mess, never again. VERY DISAPPOINTED

I paid $59 for the cheapest room they had and it was fantastic. If the $59 room was that pretty i would love to see the most expensive one. I will be going back. The only complaint we had was that we got a non smoking room but you could smoke outside of the rooms. Looks like with the hotel being so big that they would have had non smoking floors. But that was really the only complaint i had except for the high prices of the food. They have complimentary valet service for hotel guests. As far as the casino goes, it was nice. The only complaint about the casino would be that you have to go through the smoking section to get to the non smoking section.
