“A real home away from home!”

If you are looking for a place to take family and/or friends where you can feel right at home, this cabin is the perfect place. The pictures are a true representation. When you first enter you are struck by how nice and big the cabin is and within the hour, you feel like you've been coming there for years! The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds feel incredibly comfortable (I have a bad back but slept like a baby), there are plenty of board games, and there are two doors you can close between the game room and the upstairs so even with 8 teenagers having a blast downstairs, we were able enjoy ourselves upstairs. The owners are delightful and sincerely care about your stay. We had regular contact prior to our arrival, the contacted us the day of our arrival to make sure everything was ok, and they called to thank us for staying on our last morning there. The cabin is located on private property so there is a gentleman who drives around and pulls security. He came by, introduced himself, and told us if we needed anything to let him know. There are plenty of trails nearby to go for a walk, the back porch is perfect for a morning coffee or evening beer while listening to the creek. We brought our two exchange students (Taiwan and South Korea) with us and they absolutely loved going for hikes all over the place. Being it was right after Easter, we had an Easter Egg hunt and the kids had a blast! We spend a day at Biltmore and in Asheville which is a short drive away. If you go to Burnsville, make sure to get a coffee at Appalachian Java. The coffee is great and so are the people. I almost forgot to mention but one of the bonuses is that there is a small room with double doors that is set up for smaller kids so they can play where you can see them and they won't "bother" the bigger kids downstairs. I can't recommend this cabin highly enough. Even though we are moving to the Washington DC area, I can promise that we will be back to visit again!
