My two late teenaged children and myself went on the 3 hour canopy tour and enjoyed every single minute! Our guides, Kenneth and Lujon, were interactive and super funny, which made the whole experience a great time and well worth it. The lines were amazing, especially the last few, with great views.

We took the train out of Bryson City and then got off for the Zipline. We had never zipped before. Our group had us and 1 other couple we met on the bus. Everybody had a blast. 3 of the 4 did not like heights but had no problems on the course. Shawn and Mark were both knowledgeable (or made stuff up lol)
The box lunch was also very good at the end.

We did this in conjunction with the Great Smoky Mountain Train ride - the train ride was fine, rather boring. The coordination with the zipline went well, no issues. I have done a fair amount of ziplining and ropes courses - this is the first time I did one (in the US) where it was possible to unclip yourself, that there was not technology to prevent you from doing so. There were only two of us, and we had two guides - because they are the ones responsible for clipping/unclipping you, so you need one at each end. About half the zips were two lines going at the same time - so first one guide went, then we went together, then the other guide - so you can see that time starts to add up of you standing around - and considering they take groups of more than 2, that could feel very slow indeed. The guides (Ken and Clyde) were very nice and fun, and we felt secure with them the entire time. There is some uphill walking, and you need to brake yourself, so I would not recommend this for everyone. But it was a nice setting and the zips were fun, and it was fun to "race" each other on the zips that went two at a time. Start to finish time on the course was about 75 minutes.

Really enjoyed our guides Kenneth and LuJon. Fantastic course layout that seems to reward you as you gain comfort as skill in zipping. Our guides helped our newbie grandmother and rode with her on every zip to ensure she made it across.
