This is a restaurant we have visited every year since we started vacationing here about 10 years ago. In May 2015 it changed ownership and it was definitely a step in the right direction. The food is very authentic. The menu is very extensive. There is a wide range of appetizers and also a kids menu. Prices are affordable and portions are large. The margarita's are excellent and they don't short change you on the tequila. The restaurant also has a salsa buffet bar with about 10 varieties of salsa that appeal to those who prefer mild all the way to hot. The owner, an extremely friendly and personable gentleman, who is also there waiting tables and interacting with customers, has also invested in beautiful authentic hand carved and painted tables, chairs, and booths from Mexico. A friend in Mexico hand made every piece and transported them up to the restaurant. It all definitely adds to the ambience. I highly recommend this restaurant to first timers and those who might not have liked it under previous ownership and haven't been back.
