My husband and I have been coming here for more than 30 years. We have enjoyed the many wonderful changes that have taken place over the years after the inn changed hands. The linens are luxurious, the rooms comfy & spotless, the lawns, garden and stream beautiful. We love coming every Autumn and Summer.

Room Tip: Larger rooms on the stream are worth every penny.

My husband and I stayed in the middle of the week and were very impressed with the comfort and beauty of our room. The continental breakfast rivals any hotel and the view of the stream is lovely. The Inn is a short walk to the main strip in town, so it's a perfect place to stay when you want to keep local. Free wifi and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the nice review and your emphasis on keeping it local – that’s a Woodstock trait we all embrace, from hotels to restaurants to galleries. Hope you’ll be back.

Comfortable and quirky accommodation - a bit dated but with everything that one needs. Breakfast is delicious but it would be great if it could be available a bit earlier as a 9am start prevents an earlier start to the day. The location on the Millstream is very picturesque and Woodstock centre is easily accessible. In autumn, the colours are spectacular.

Room Tip: Our room (no 17) was spacious with catering facilities

Although the stream is beautiful and sounds very soothing, you can only appreciate the sounds if you have one of the few rooms that actually have windows facing the stream. Due to some bad weather, we couldn't really enjoy sitting outside by the stream but, based on another reviewer, doing so may not be a great option due to the mutant birds leaving their droppings everywhere. Our bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and had no odd smells but it was quite small for the money. I would have to agree with other reviewers that the 9 o'clock breakfast without even early morning coffee is kind of late if you want to get out and enjoy the surrounding area while on vacation. Although breakfast in town may be an option, as has been suggested, a lot of the places in town don't open until nine either and the walk along the road is very dangerous. We thought maybe this wouldn't be too bad since this is a quiet mountain town, but that went out the window when a small car with a young driver came screaming around the bend at very high speed. I'm surprised there aren't memorial markers every 10 feet for people who got killed there. Early in the morning of our second day, a young couple in one of the other rooms got into a huge fight. There was much yelling and noise taking place both in the room and outside on the porch and the parking lot. This went on for quite some time and, although I don't expect the inn keeper to get in between two people involved in a domestic dispute, there should have been some attempt to quell this disturbance or at least it could have been suggested to them that the police would be called if they didn't take it somewhere else. Very stressful for other vacationers spending a ton of money to be there. All of this coupled with the fact that when we actually spent time in the restaurants and shops in town, the people working there seemed less then impressed that we were spending money there and helping them keep their jobs. Customer service does not seem to be a priority in the over-priced, trendy village. The best experience we had was with Rose the psychic. She was very entertaining and made us feel like she really cared about her clients. We will never be back to the inn or Woodstock itself. So many other great places to go - Watkins Glen, Lake George, the Poconos, the Berkshires, etc.

Room Tip: Smaller rooms may not be good for larger people.

We had such a nice time at this place. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating and the property is really relaxing. We slept like a couple of babies. Breakfast was good, wifi worked great, plenty of parking. Woodstock is a cool town too.
