We stayed at Kangaroo Beach Lodge recently and couldn't fault our holiday. The lodge is clean and functional, the property is just gorgeous. The views are to die for and the private beach is worth the trek down. We travelled with a 6 month old baby and found the owners to be more than accommodating and we were very grateful that they provided a cot and highchair and a late checkout for us. We highly recommend staying here, particularly trying the catered option - our dinner was *amazing*. The owners provided the right balance of being available if we needed anything, whilst still ensuring our privacy, and were incredibly friendly. Tripadvisor states the lodge has a kitchenette, however it is a fully functional kitchen (you might need to take your own pantry items excluding a few basics). Coffee machine in the lodge was just what we needed and loved the tea range provided. Overall, the lodge was just beautiful and we'll be doing this trip again.

Had 5 incredible nights at "eagles nest " the middle of the 3 lodges

The views are spectacular with access to a private beach. I indulged in some fishing which whilst interesting in the surf was great being predominantly by myself - occasional visit from other guests . My expectations weren't high but I actually hooked a good size snapper and a good size salmon .

The lodges had every piece of equipment you could possibly need including binoculars to watch the eagles that hover over the headland. The king size bed was fantastically comfortable.

We self catered and had a ball doing it including making bread In the provided bread maker, after using the loaf provided by our hosts which was great. Also provided in the fridge were eggs, milk and orange juice. We dealt with Ryan and he was fabulously helpful without being intrusive which suited us.

We wanted both a relaxing time and a base to do some exploring and got both.

We stayed here in a 3 bedroom lodge with our 2 kids aged 2 and 4. Location beautiful and the lodge very comfortable but what made our stay was the wonderful, personal service. We had booked a chef and each meal was wonderful. Simple but very fresh and also very healthy. Amy and Kristie both live on the property and manage it together with there husband and kids are what you call the perfect hosts. We requested health food and got the most original, homemade food. Also cleaning was done perfectly.

We had a guide for 3 full days via Exceptional KI which was really nice as well, he drove us around otherwise you would really need a car on the property.

We had a very nice few days. We were surprised by the beauty of the island and had an perfect experience at KBL!

This is truly an amazing place - I can't even describe it. We stayed 5 nights which was perfect - time to enjoy this beautiful house and area and see some sights as well. The peacefulness of the house and area is just amazing - really a place where you can relax, enjoy wine and food.

This is truly a luxury stay - the house is open, bright, beautiful, etc - just like the pictures. The kitchen and living room are totally open with amazing views of the ocean. All the windows and doors are screened so you can open the whole house up and hear the ocean - even from the bedroom. The house is stocked with everything you can think of - champagne flutes, oyster shucker, coffee, tea, fresh bread, eggs from the hens on the farm (you can visit them and feed them too), beach chairs, umbrellas, picnic baskets, yoga mats, etc.

We saw so much wildlife while we were there - dolphins numerous times from the house, sting rays, kangaroos galore (they graze right by the house), sheep, cattle, koalas, etc.)

We picked up fresh food upon arrival to the island (lamb at South Rock Lamb; yogurt and cheese at Island Pure; honey; fresh fish and seafood at Ferguson, fresh oysters, etc.) So we had amazing views, house and food.

There are 2 private beaches - you can hike to both - they are quite a climb coming back up - and you can drive to the main beach. Make sure you rent a 4WD car as the roads getting to the lodge are unpaved. the beaches are beautiful - white sand, clear water (no seaweed). It was a bit cold when we were there but still managed to swim.

Booking was easy and replies to our inquiries were always prompt and helpful. The operators at the lodge are really helpful and are there to help with anything during the stay.

We truly loved this place and can't wait to return one day. It is definitely worth the price and travel to get here.

We stayed in lodge # 3 - the one that is featured in all the magazines and promotions. I do think this one has the best views but we did not get any afternoon sun - just the morning. I think I would want to stay at lodge 1 which is further from the beach but gets the afternoon sun.

Room tip: I think lodge #1 may have better sun exposure even though lodge #3 probably has the best views.

I have just returned form a wonderful 4 night stay here with a group of girlfriends. We rented 2 adjacent lodges and were all blown away by our accommodation and the wonderful views of the beach. The facilities were great and we loved seeing kangaroos right outside our windows. Very comfortable rooms, even a great view from the loo! Enjoyed swimming at the private beach everyday. Well looked after by the caretakers. Hope to be back again soon.

Room tip: All rooms have a good view
