Quick review: this place should be at the top of everyone's list. Classic American dishes mostly focused on seafood, but wide enough to please most. On the pricey side, but worth it. SUPERB service. Nice bistro-type atmosphere.

I was back in town visiting family. We went on Sunday, which has a great half-price deal on lobsters, which are a choice of 2.5 or 3.5 pounds. AT half price, this means about $26 or $35, but it is a good deal for this larger-than average lobsters. EVEN BETTER: there is wonderful table-side service that cracks it all for you, and presents it beautifully -- no wrestling with the lobster at the table.

We also enjoyed the roasted halibut - perfectly done. This is the kind of place where you order sides to share (generally $6-8,) and the mashed potatoes and roasted cauliflower were very good choices. The soups and beet salads were also great starters.

My family has some here on other days that include attractive promotional deals: half price small plates one day, half off bottles of wine another. Prices here are on the high side, but the outstanding quality of the kitchen and service are worth it.

There are all kinds of nice things on the raw seafood bar if you are into that kind of food.

Lunch has a more limited menu, but also things like lobster rolls and burgers ($16 and $15 respectively.)

Very nice wine list by the glass or bottle. There are also happy hours at the usual time but also late night (10-midnight.) There is a full bar with intriguing cocktails, but I am mostly a wine person.

I can't say enough about the polished-but-friendly service. These people know charming and professional hospitality.

So: yet another reason to visit the family is the opportunity to return to this place.

while my wife attended a medical conference, I decided to take a walk aroun White Plains. It was noon and stroll around Mamaroneck Ave and Post and saw a very nicely decorated locale. Entered this place and sat at the bar and ordered a shot of bourbon. BTW, this place serves Pappy Van Winkle by the glass, you can't afford it if you have to ask how much? Ordered from the lunch menu, the oysters from 6 different places were delicious and very fresh. The clam chowder was awesome. Since my experience was so good, I decided to return with my wife for dinner.
The white wine we had was very good(Chablis) and I can still remember how scrumptious my wife's appetizer was, seafood risotto topped with a pan seared scallop. The seafood served in this place is very good.
Service was very good and very attentive to your needs and questions.

This is such a beautiful place! Food is delicious, and the bar is on the small side but great drinks! A lot of ambiance for a romantic dinner! Seafood is so fresh and beautifully prepared. Grill items are terrific also. You need to try this place!!! Owner greets you and you feel very welcome.

we had a horrible experience. we ordered two glasses of wine and the waiter was pushing for us to get the bottle for a good full 30 seconds which i found extremely rude and desperate. we then ordered our appetizers and he kept pushing us to order our "main course" which again i found rude and desperate. im not sure if he thought he was a car salesman or furniture or what but we already were frustrated and his demeanor was so annoying. horrible service aside, the cream of spinach was cold and the tuna was bland. when we asked for salt and pepper he insisted the "flavor" was perfect for another good 30 seconds before he brought over the salt and pepper. im not sure if we would go back, maybe with a different waiter? maybe we should have just gotten oysters? i wouldn't really recommend this restaurant, you're just not getting what you're paying for.
