Yes there really are koalas sleeping on koala walk in the park. We spotted 6 in the gum trees surrounding the walk. We also spotted several kangaroos lying around the Yanchep golf course in the National park. Black cockatoo were there. We visited midday when most of the wild animals are sleeping. Early morning or late afternoon they might be more active. Pleasant cup of coffee in the park.

Lovely day out. This NP has woods/trees,grassy areas, watery places, black cockatoos, koalas and groups of kangaroos; not to mention the cafe but don't leave it too late to go to it, as it seems to close a bit early. We had great photos of the roos and lovely walks.

This huge park has lots to offer! Managed by the water district it is a conservation center for rare Black Cockatoos, which we saw a lot of. It has a lake and beautiful grounds for picnicking or relaxing. Clean restrooms in several places. Walking trails of different lengths. There is a small cafe, and also a gift/art shop in an old historical house on the grounds. It is 5.50 to get in, and 15.000 more if you want to do the cave tour (highly recommend) There is plenty of parking in several different areas. A must see when in the Perth area.

Visit here several times during our visit to our daughter in Yanchep.
Great trail walk around the lake, approx 30 mins. Superb for families and for friends. Free bbq's. Never get tired of visiting here. I'd say the only down side is the price of drinks in the Inn, but the food is good.

Great visit to this beautiful place. The views were fantastic; one minute seeing the City of Perth, the next the river and the sea. Gorgeous gardens and exotic plants and flowers. Saw Kangaroos and Koalas in their habitat. They have a pub in the Park, serving food and drinks. We chilled in the shade whilst enjoying lunch and ice cold wine. Memorable day.
