Our 3 hour private tour with Josh was incredible with experiences to be remembered for a long time. His Aboriginal heritage provided us with an understanding of the spirit and it's people. He explained how the people lived off the land using plants for food, medicine and even the change of seasons when different fish would migrate to their shores. We toured through the cave

Koomal meets you with a friendly grin. He has a relaxed style of presentation, and a delightful way of setting out the cultural and lifestyle strands of the indigenous culture in the Capes region. He leads the group through a series of mini-experiences involving native flora, clever mud maps used to portray fishing, hunting and burial areas, and concise explanations of the cave geology in the region.

We enter the Ngilgi Cave, and as Koomal weaves more strands with his music and tales of a lost lifestyle, we are transported into another world where seasons and spirituality were vital to life. The cool and the calm, allied to beautiful lighting and soothing strains of the Didgeridoo, envelopes us in a state of momentary reverie and respect.

Our tour ends with a very entertaining demonstration of fire-making, cooking and hunting methods ... with a live demonstration of spears and boomerangs.

As means of providing an authentic insight into the indigenous way of life, this tour is incredibly well done, ................... and highly recommended as a result.

I am on vacation from Canada and I took part in the Ngilgi Cultural Cave tour. We were given a tour of the cave and once we were all down were told an indigenous story and were treated to a very magical didgeridoo performance. After the cave tour we were able to handle and learn about many of the artifacts. The tour ended with another Didgeridoo performance and all of the tour guests joining in with various tapping sticks. It was amazing to learn about one of the indigenous populations of Australia and I would recommend this tour to everyone!

We went along on the cultural tour which consisted of a walk in nearby grounds to discuss local bushtucker, a tour of Ngilgi's Cave and hear a didgeridoo performance then bushfoods cooked for us at the end. The highlight was definitely was eating the bushfoods (those smoked mussels!)and having a jam playing Aboriginal musical instruments. The bushfoods walk at the start was a little light on, but otherwise Josh is onto a winner and its fabulous to go on a tour with a local Noongar, with deep spiritual and ancestral connections to the land , than go on a tour with a white person, no matter how much they might know. Supporting local Noongar businesses is the way to go.

On holiday from Scotland with my partner, we had been struggling to find any opportunities to learn about the indigenous people of Australia and so were delighted to hear about Koomal Dreaming in the tourist office in Dunsborough. We went with our Australian friend we were staying with and all three of us were absolutely delighted with the experience. Josh was brilliant at explaining about the traditional life of the indigenous people of the area - the plants and how they are used, the animals, the topography and so on. His telling of the creation story in Ngilgi cave and his digeridoo playing both in the cave and above ground were really fantastic. He also showed us traditional tools and showed us how to make fire and explained a bit about digeridoo playing. We thought it was a fantastic tour and would recommend it to anyone - young or old. You do need to be reasonably good on your feet if you want to explore the cave properly and there are quite a lot of steps in the cave, but other than that anyone should be able to do it. A fantastic experience and one I would repeat in a heartbeat!
