We spent a week and half here with 2 young kids over Christmas and New Years and loved it. Nice clean facilities. Awesome location just next to the beach. The reception staff were always friendly and accommodating, just make sure to bring your bushman insect repellant for the March flies.

Thank you for your review. Yes, there are times during the year when the March flies march in, we hope they didn't detract too much from holiday! We are delighted you had a great stay and think the location is as spectacular as we do. We hope to see you again.

The only down side to my stay at this park is that it was for only one night on the way through to Albany. I've stayed in quite a few caravan parks over the years and have no hesitation in saying that this is one of the best ever. The facilities are clean and well situated throughout the park, the sites are shaded with ample power and water points and the management was fabulous to deal with given we arrived after the office closed and without a booking.

The only negative thing I have to say about our stay in the 3m Family Tent, is the stay to short!
Everything is thought or and provided for from bunk beds for the kids to microwave, they even have a USB port in the tent beside the bed.

All finished off with amazing interior finishes it is by far the best Glamping experience yet.

Room tip: I can only recommend the Eco Tents as this was what I stayed in

Thank you for such positive feedback on our new Luxury Tents. We are delighted to be able to offer such a unique accommodation experience in the beautiful southern forests region. Next time you will definitely have to stay longer!

Wonderful location, beside the beach and close to the serene forests nearby. The kids enjoyed this site more than any other as it had a designated rec room for them to play table tennis and meet other kids. Sites were fine but only just fitted our camper trailer. Staff were great and very helpful. Facilities very good all round. I'd go back for sure.

Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to write a review. We know how important it is during the holidays for the kids to be entertained and have some freedom. We do try to accommodate camper trailers, RVs, Caravans and tents in a variety of sites but during the holiday period it can prove a little tricky. We would love to see you again and if you are passing our way, be sure to let us know what you are travelling in and we will do our best to give you a larger site.

Spent a few nights prior to Christmas at this park in a caravan. Chose this park as I had seen good reviews on TV about it, as it turns out it doesn't look like it has had much work done on it for a while (except for a heap of new eco type tents). Its definitely not bad in any way its just an older park. The positives are that there is plenty of shade, its close to a beach, water, power, waste disposal for van sites are all really good and some of the van sites are big. The down side was that there are heaps mosquitoes so take repellent, some of the sites are a bit pokey for a larger van, so check out your allocated site if you can before pulling in to it, there are no hardstands for vans (some of the sites aren't particularly level either) and the trees appear a bit prone to losing branches when it rains. The facilities are good but fairly limited. There is a largish games room, with a ping pong table a few seats and a TV and there are a couple of ablution blocks and a small camp kitchen. The ablution block I used was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, although the games room didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while. While the park was generally quiet, sites were allocated very strangely, as groups of campers were lumped together rather than spreading people out across the park. Meant that we had to deal with the usual routine of Britz/Apollo campers turning up well after sundown and getting noisy while we were winding up for the evening, getting kids ready for bed etc. A bit of thinking on behalf of management would make everyone's stay even better. I had a look at the other caravan park in Walpole and its a bit neater and has grassed areas but limited shade, so its really six of one half a dozen of the other. Would recommend this park and take a walk on the road that leads into the park, the views, trees etc are awesome.

Thank you for your comprehensive review of our Park. As you can appreciate we are in a natural bush camp setting and generally that is the appeal of our Park for our guests. The Park is set on Department of Parks and Wildlife land in the National Park. All the trees are reviewed by the Department on a regular basis and are trimmed accordingly. There are 4 camp kitchens available to our guest around the Park. Many of our guest request to be close to the amenities, this often means it appears we are clumping them together but it is generally at their request. We are always happy to accommodate families who prefer to be away from others if there is a site to suit. We hope if you do travel to Walpole again you will come and stay with us.
