A fabulous place to stay in Exmouth

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 weeks ago
A really lovely resort right on the beach at Exmouth. The staff were delightful, the food and wine were delicious, the location of the resort was picture perfect (we could watch the sun rise over the ocean every morning), our apartment was super comfortable, clean and well equipped (including a spa on the deck which we loved), and the resort pool was large and at a perfect temperature. All in all, highly recommended.

Though our room enjoyed a wonderful setting looking out over the beach, the sound of the spa pump from the room next door destroys any peace you might want to enjoy while on your balcony. We were offered drinks vouchers of $20 per night (if we stayed in the room) which we accepted as management couldn’t guarantee other one bed beachfront bungalows would be less noisy. We used earplugs for when the pump came on at 6am which seemed to do the trick.

That aside, the beach bungalow was well appointed, clean, comfortable and with a wonderful view.

Dinner at the restaurant was top notch and the bar provides a lovely setting for sunset drinks.

I’m a little amazed at all the great reviews this hotel has. I’m not being unfair but I think it’s a 3 star hotel at best. It is in a great spot and probably the best accomodation available but

      1. There is no feeling of “ being special” in this place and you have to pay extra for literally everything.
      2. The pool lounges have no cushions and the the sun bed cushions had not been cleaned with rubbish and food scraps left underneath
      3. The garden maintenance is poor and the property needs landscaping
      4. I understand it’s hard to get staff in a remote location and that most are backpackers, but the service is slow and inattentive
      5. The rooms are basic and the power went out twice because of a fuse and the pillows were hard. When we asked for these items to be fixed they said nothing could really be done.

I probably sound a grumpy old person but I have traveled quit a bit and I think all places should strive for excellence despite the lack of competition

      Very comfortable hotel in Exmouth.
The rooms are spacious and light - I had an ocean view overlooking the pool area.
The pool is great, a decent size so you can enjoy your swim.
The shuttle bus into the centre is useful.
The breakfast buffet has a wide range of choice.

I recently dined at Mantarays Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. I want to give a shout out to the management team for maintaining such high standards. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant to others!

Spent a week in Exmouth. Had wonderful experiences and this resort was a good location if you have car. Shout out to maintenance, reception staff (especially. Myrium), bar/restaurant staff ( esp. Coraline) and housekeeping....the room was immaculate. The resort fell short on a couple of things: breakfast- ingredients not always fresh, salad from day before was served again, second day with brown cos!. Chef was not accommodating at dinner. We were there one week and due to a garlic intolerance I had to suffice with same dish each night we ate in-house; the chef even being so arrogant to tell me that the way he cooks garlic makes it OK to digest (was in Bali late last year, chef modified almost the whole menu...not that hard). Really soggy chips. One bedroom apartment (the only one bedrooms with kitchen) all look over rhe Marina- an industrial sight that buzzes all night with lights that glare either side of the apartment due to the carpark below which brings with it it's own noises. Not tranquil or peaceful especially for the price you pay. Rooms that look over pool are close to the restaurant so also noisy. Kitchen was poorly equipped...no baking oven/pirex/microwave dishes. Dishwasher was hopeless...had to hand wash everything and fridge really buzzed at high pitch. Had to sleep with earplugs. Finally, we came to Ningaloo to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary which we had mentioned on a call to reception a couple of months ago. Disappointingly, no acknowledgement of this unlike other experiences when we have travelled for special occasions and were duly acknowledged, even if just a small gesture like a note in the room. We noticed on our last evening that there was a group having dinner on the beach....we were not informed that that was available....concierge services were missing in action. We organised all our own tours.

Room tip: See note above re rooms. Bungalows have best most serene outlook.
