Lovely people running it, decent food, great set up, not so great in un-ideal weather. Not sure the price is worth what you get as hotels in Exmouth proper can service the reef well which is why you are there. Great beaches, views, gorges, walks etc around Sal Salis, so it is worth getting a car to drive around and have a look at the region even for a day.More

If you are soft and need marble - book Bali - if you can understand the appeal of no wifi or cell phone signal and a full moon over an ancient landscape by the sea- book now.

I had 3 nights here at Sal Salis and it was one of the most magical places I've ever stayed! From the spectacular fringing reef and amazing marine life through to the excellent beach front tent, delicious food, exceptional staff and out of this world location it exceeded my expectations. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Everything about our stay was perfect! The staff were all amazing, the location and the views (especially from the honeymoon tent!) were superb and the accomodation and food was outstanding. I would highly recommend Sal Salis to anyone, and would definitely come back. All the staff were so welcoming, accomodating, friendly and knowledgeable, but particular thanks to Louise, Noosh and Simmo.

We stayed at Sal Salis for four nights in order to tick ‘swimming with whale sharks’ off the bucket list. Sal Salis is a very special place. It’s not a luxury lodge like all those in Africa where the accommodation is like a five star hotel you might find in any major city and you get waited on hand and foot like back in the colonial days (done many of them and they are great but...). This is an exceptional eco lodge/glamping experience in one of the most magical and remote places you will find anywhere on our planet. Sand in the room - of COURSE - it was windy as all else and the tents are in the sand dunes! Depending on what standards you are holding Sal Salis too - and if you didn’t read the detailed information provided when booking and before departing shame on you - there is plenty to nit pick about but really?? The staff are incredible - ever cheerful and ready to help, activities plentiful, meals as good as great city restaurants (how they do that in the middle of the dunes is beyond me), canapés were exceptionally high standard and very creative every night, wine was plentiful and quite delicious - so appreciated that most of it was from WA - supporting local! As always in special places like this met some very special fellow travelers who made it all the more magical. Thanks Candace, Paul, Noosh, Mel et al for a wonderful stay.
Dear Sue B, the team in camp loved having you to stay; your enthusiasm and passion, your understanding of the environment and your obvious enjoyment of nature help make a challenging job all the more rewarding. As yes, I can confirm, as I sit here in the Perth head office, the environment at Sal Salis makes for hard-work but those guys in camp ... well, they just take it all in their stride and keep on smiling. For our honeymoon the travel agency proposed us to spend three days in this paradise. We will never thank enough them for this suggestion! All the team in Sal Salis is professional, extremely kind and careful about all our needs. The chef is really good and we always had excellent meal, from brekkie to dinner. Especially at the dinner time every course is combined with the right wine. The beach and reef in front of our tent was simply amazing, full of color, fishes and turtles. We got in touch with the extraordinary nature of Nigaloo learning to respect and preserve it. The hike was also really interesting and gave us the opportunity to discover the nature of the bush. Thank you guys, you made our honeymoon as special as we dreamt it!
