We walked the Yardie Creek nature trail first thing in the morning which was great and not sure if you need to do the boat trip as well as the trail as it is not cheap. Having said that we all enjoyed it and saw where the birds nest and the bats from a better angle.

Really glad you enjoyed both the nature trail walk & the boat tour at Yardie Creek - it's certainly a great thing to do as a family. Our boat tour at Yardie Creek gives you that extra dimension of what you can see "up the Creek" with the added value of local experienced guides for interesting & fun commentary. Our Family Rate of $90 (for 2 Adults & 1-2 Children) is what we consider excellent value for money. Enjoy the rest of your time in the Ningaloo region - Thankyou for taking the time to do a review - it is appreciated - Cheers, YCBT

Getting to Yardie was an interesting journey in itself.
Boxy the guide was very knowledgable, showed us lots and answered every bodies questions. The boat trip was safe, even for my 70 year old parents. Make sure you book in advance, as even in the off season the boat was full and some people were turned away.

Boxy, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and so engaging! He had so much information to share and really knew how to handle the boat! I get motion sickness very easily but I felt fine throughout the trip. So many animals and wildlife to observe, definitely worth the trip!

This gorge reminded me of the red rock country of Arizona, stunningly colorful under a clear, sunny sky. Pock-mocked with crevices, ledges and holes, the hillsides are home to a variety of life, from wallabies to birds of all description, as we saw. The waters of the gorge are crystal clear and lined with mangroves, The flora and fauna certainly was the attraction as well as Boxy, the guide. His life story added to the enjoyment. Only sorry the "tour" was so short! But there's a walking path nearby so one could extend their stay!

Thankyou so much for your review and the beautiful descriptions of Yardie Creek - you've created a picture with your words! We spend an hour exploring Yardie Creek during our boat tour and we've found that to be the ideal time for most guests, as it allows them time to do other things in the Cape Range National Park - as well as experience Yardie. Enjoy the rest of your time in Exmouth and the Ningaloo region - safe travels home.
