We did the ~2 hour whale watching trip from Dunsborough and it totally amazed us (even though we have visited the South West many times). We loved seeing the beautiful coast from the water - the colours were incredible. Pete and his adorable son were great guides. Once we headed out further we saw numerous humpback whales and dolphins (and later seals). The jet boat was great because you get a much more intimate experience than a big boat (but at the same time Pete is completely respectful of the whales). At one stage a whale calf swam right under the boat. The highlight though was seeing a whale jump right out of the water in the distance. An added bonus was the great quality snacks and drinks provided on board. Really impressed.

We are four ladies, 2 in their 60/70's and 2 younger 20/30 something. Have to say this was the highlight of our holiday. Felt totally safe with Pete who was the best skipper and looked after all our needs from rain jackets to chocolate brownies and drinks. Pete's knowledge of the area and the oceans is extensive and he makes a very interesting host. Thanks Pete for a great day, my sister said she wouldn't have booked something like this but couldn't stop telling me how much she enjoyed the morning. Thanks again it was awsome.. You're in good hands with skipper Pete. 15 years experience on the ocean. Passionate and knowledgable about the area and local wildlife. Very concerned about passenger safety and comfort, which was reassuring. Point of difference is the proximity with which you can get to the coastline. We were taken through a narrow passage at sugarloaf rock and learnt a bit about rock formation, something you couldn't do on a larger boat. Also when we approached whales, Pete would shut off the engine so you hear their blow - 'breathtaking'

Hi Lindsay
Thanks for your very good review, we like to do a bit of everything on our whale watching tour including the Seals, caves and sugarloaf rock when we can but the main focus is the whales this time of year. Glad to hear you had a great time!
Cheers Pete

Pete was brilliant on tour yesterday. We had such an amazing time out on the jet boat. We came across whales within the first 5 minutes of our tour, and they were present throughout the entire 3 hours we were on the water. We came across both Humpbacks and Blue Whales, which were especially impressive. If you aren't in it for the whales, the boat and landscape along the coast will blow you away as well. This thing is scary fast, and allows you to steam to a number of landmarks and historical sites along the coast.

This is a must do if you are in the Busselton / Margaret River / Dunsborough are, and I will definitely be going out with Pete again!!

Hi Salvatore
Thanks for the excellent review, the whale watching here is truly as good as anywhere in the world, throw in the amazing coastline and seal colony and there's a lot to do in a short time! Hope the boat wasn't too scary fast for you, our eco tours are meant to be relaxing!
Cheers Pete
