It can be very windy most days, so hold onto your hat and for ladies I would not advise wearing a dress or skirt. Also apply sunscreen.
The day we were there, we experienced 60km winds at the top of the lighthouse.
A great day out and lots to see and photograph. The colour of the ocean is spectacular. You can actually see the point of where the two oceans meet it is such an amazing beautiful place. Staff are friendly and helpful. The gentleman who escorted us up the lighthouse steps gave a clear history along with humour. His advice on safety was appreciated. There is a kiosk to buy drinks and snacks also a shop for quality souvineers.

It was amazing to actually see where the two oceans meet! It was VERY windy, but the views were spectacular. It's one of those places you have to see once, and it's worth paying to see the view from the very top! :)

The lighthouse is an easy drive from Augusta where you can have a pie at the best bakery I've been to for ages or catch a boat to see migrating whales. The lighthouse is the tallest in Australia and 176 steps later you're at the top. The guide was very informative and the view was spectacular. A must do when you're in the South West.

Driving there is relaxing & serene & the signages are easy to follow. Parking is ample, free & easy. The restaurant serves good capucino & hearty meal. Staff are extremely hospitable, helpful & highly commendable especially kudos to the lady tour guide who narrate eloquently & explain clearly in the lighthouse. The lighthouse is so beautiful & once on the top, the 360 degrees sceneries from the balcony is amazing, awesome & majestic. I feel like on top of the world. One could see as far as your vision can go to the far horizon of both the Indian Ocean & the Southern Ocean & the Great Australian Bight. At the foot of the lighthouse we can walk down to the volcanic rocks. We also visited several 200-yr-old huts once lived by the workers of the lighthouse.
