If you want a rather secluded Pousada to spend a few days you will be happy at Catavento. It's a fascinating location on the other side of the island, yet still only a short hour's walk to town along the beach depending on tides. And the beach is right at your doorstep, so you can walk for miles if you wish, even venturing onto the broad expanse of exposed reef at low tide. Rooms are adequate with mosquito netting over the bed and a hammock on the lanai. Skittish blue land crabs live in burrows around some of the buildings and you will always awaken to the sounds of a variety of birds. Services are adequate, including a gorgeous swimming pool, and there is scheduled jeep transport into town's "receptivo" area. If there's a "bug" it's the single bare ceiling CFL light. But I'd recommend this Pousada anyway for tranquility away from noisy downtown Morro.
