I booked three rooms at this hotel on Expedia. The details specifically say check-in available at 3. When we got there we saw dozens of people frustrated and being told they could not get into rooms until 6. Since most people are only there for one night this was quite annoying. Telnet say it’s due to Shabbat but the info on their site provides a guarantee of access by 3. We made the best of it and went to the Dead Sea and pool and then returned to the lobby. Dozens of frustrated guests. All trying to check in. Front desk people are a joke. They give you run round, take 30 minutes per guest, and then weasel out of their supposed “service guarantee” that they publish due to technicalities. I alphabets worked in travel industry for 15 years and stay in hotels 100+ nights per year. I also have extensive experience in Israel and am familiar that service levels are not as high as some countries but I think this hotel experience is truly terrible and among the worst I have encountered. I would definitely recommend staying in a different place.

It is the worst season for the last 3 years in this Isrotel on the Dead Sea. Usually we visit this hotel twice per year: in June and in October. But in this June the service is the worst for the last years.
Usually we buy BB pack here and then we pay for lunch for our family in the hotel. The price for this buffet is around 120-150 shekels per person. We were really enjoyed this lunch during our last visits and we bought lunches in this time as well, But in fact every day we should wait for food, because it was finished so quickly, that we couldn’t take something, it’s impossible to stay long queues there especially when you are with kids. The quantity of hot dishes decreased in 2 times and the length of queues increased. It seems that we paid for this staying at the queues the price that equal to costs for the good dinner at the restaurant. All people around us complained also, but there were no changes.
So, obviously the hotel is not able to serve the huge quantity of people that they have now without service level decrease. I suppose, that management of the hotel should stop themselves in this race for the profit and should focus on the saving of the high level service as it was before.
That’s was exactly the reason why we visit this hotel regularly.
Secondly, twice a year we reserve a family suit here that is supposed to be for 3adults. We are the family with 2adults and 2kids (4years old for both). In this season for the first time the hotel pushed us to pay extra money for 2kids even if there are 2 adults only and we don’t need additional place in the room. The explained it like we should pay for breakfasts for 2kids of 4 years old.
So, we are really confused with all these situations and we intend to cancel our reservation for October and choose other hotel with better service.
Thank you

We stayed one night here after staying in the Crown Plaza Jerusalem, perhaps our expectations were too high. The room itself never cooled down below 25c and was extremely uncomfortable. We asked 2 separate times for a fan but never got one. The shower did not drain and a foul sewage smell filled the room if you left the bathroom door open. There was a nasty sock in the pool and no one seemed to care about it.

We complained about the room when we checked out (we left early it was so bad) yet the manager was "in a meeting" and we never even received an email apologizing.

I could not recommend this hotel to anyone for the price and lack of customer service.

I’ve been to many hotels at the Dead Sea in order to treat the symptoms of Psoriasis.
This is the only place I would strongly recommend.
The room was well maintained. The spa was clean and the service was efficient and very professional. I especially applaud Alona who runs the sulfur pools. These pools are for guests dealing with arthritis pain. The food served was buffet style and very tasteful.
Every night The was music and professional entertainment.

Room Tip: Ask for a Moab room upgrade especially if you are staying 1-2 weeks.

We considered several hotels at the Dead Sea. Daniel was cheaper but after seeing the photos posted by some users we decided to try Isrotel.
We were not disappointed.
Except for a parking problem and some senior staff not exactly courteous, we enjoyed our stay very much.
All rooms have a sea and pool view, which is amazing.
The sea is a few minutes walk away, but if you want to enjoy the Dead Sea minerals without being in the sun, the hotel has an indoor swimming pool with water from the Dead Sea.
The pool is big and -at least while we were there- not crowded.
If you're on a diet I would not suggest to get the half or full board, because the food is just delicious. Hard to complain with such great variety of dishes.
Rooms are very clean. Beds are of excellent quality.

If you walk to the Dead Sea, bring with you 10 Shekels to buy a mud bag. It really helps smooth your skin.

I fully commend Barak, the security fellow that tried really hard to alleviate the parking problem (you have to take your car across the street to an unpaved parking lot). Very friendly fellow.
