I have no clue how this campground got good reviews. This was our first experience at a chain owned campground what a disappointment. The playgrounds were filthy with garbage people left behind never cleaned up during our stay we were there 4 days. The pool was small and indoors with no outside area but a concrete pad. The speed limit was not enforced and the workers there with their golf carts were the worst offenders. It took them two days to figure out they put us on the wrong site (we did not move threatened to leave at this point). The staff was rude and the sites are right on top of each other considering what you pay to stay there. I will never go here again. We camped in our new travel trailer which is the only thing that made the trip bearable.

I didnt expect much from the KOA and got exactly that. Not terrible and not outstanding. We had a kabin that was as remote as you could get in the campground for some extra privacy, fully knowing that you do not go to a campgrounds for privacy. The grounds seemed to have plenty to do for kids. Fishing, big bouncing apparatus, pool, etc.. The service was very friendly and helpful. The downside was the noise level from the nearby highway was very loud. There is also a railway that runs right next to the campground but wasnt of any issue to us. An unfortunate issue for our visit was bugs in our kabin (yes,KOA spells cabin with a K not a c). We woke up to about 100 pill bugs (rollie pollies) all over floor, and they crawled up onto the bed and cooler and tables, etc. They came and sprayed after we got rid of the ones in the morning, but they were still around. Not the worst bug in the world to have around, and you are outdoors, but none the less just a warning that they were in the neighbourhood.

This was our first time visiting this KOA. We reserved the upgraded site in the new Sunset Acres section of the park. These sites had a huge concrete patio, lamp post with fresh flowers, & a double chair glider. The site also had a nice concrete fire ring area too.

The park was clean and had several activities planned for kids of all ages during the weekend we were there.

The park is only about 10 minutes from town & all the attractions. We visited some of the local wineries, drove on the Watkins Glen International Speedway.

We camped in a motorhome & will return !

You will find the friendly staff inside the well stocked Camping Store, quite knowledgeable and helpful. The indoor hot tub and pool with a semi-private outdoor lounging area were very enjoyable. There was even a nice work out room available overlooking the pool area. The 1 room Cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable. It included free cable TV as well as A/C and a refrigerator, for a reasonable price. There were planned activities every night. As my husband and I walked around, it was obvious that the owners cared about the campgrounds! The newer big rig RV sites included fire pits surrounded by paver stone decks, adirondack chairs and hanging flower baskets. For that matter there were beautiful flowers throughout the campground! We will definitely be returning to this KOA!!!

Room Tip: Pay the extra $$ to have a private bath (Kamping Kottage) if you have children or a weak bladder.
