Well priced and nicely located near great restaurants, shoppings, strolling, and Forodhani Park (see other reviews). Very good value for the money; recommend top floor rooms looking out over entrance square and the fort or the ocean side. The stylish beds, comfortable mattresses, nets, and hot showers are a great selling point. Nice lobby, and access to many small scale tour operators here work as well. But there are better deals for drives up the island or out to tourist resorts just by bargaining in the street next to the park. The breakfast here is stupendous and included in many packages. Room service very competent. But I have to say that the internet did not impress at all. On and off; broken; needed to help reset it; etc. this seems to be a fundamental problem if you need wi fi for Skype, work, or any other surfing. Other hotels have a better reputation in this area, but at a higher cost.

My partner and I had a great room here, very simply decorated but all the furniture is fantastic carved wood so it looks wonderful. the small balcony looked out onto the Old Fort, which was treat. The most brilliant bit is the rooftop pool - what a great way to wind down after a hard day's touristing! The manager and the whole team are lovely and were very sympathetic and helpful over my one day's illness, breakfasts are fine as well. Good choice by my partner, John Phillips!

Room tip: ask for room with a view of the fort

Stayed at ForodhaniPark Hotel. Great location, v friendly staff, cost effective and an extremely pleasant manager Mr Ebrahim. He took personal pain in planning our trip, advising on timings and that we are comfortable in our rooms. Highly recommended.

I was recommended this hotel by a friend. I wanted to stay somewhere comfortable in the heart of stone town gor an affordable price. Forodhani ticked the box. My room is huge with ensuite and breakfast included. The hotel staff have been unbelievably helpful by helping book tours, taxis and even obtaining a local sim card. Im so impressed that I will be back next week.

Very nice hotel, with a thoughtful staff. My room was spacious and had a balcony with a view of the old fort. The location is central to all the interesting spots in Stone Town. AC, mosquito netting, and a sumptuous breakfast that was included in the room price.
