I stayed at Stone Town Cafe and Bed and Breakfast for two nights and was really impressed. I had a large room on the second floor with a good hot shower, air conditioning, fan and beautiful carved Zanzibar bed. The staff were extremely friendly and approachable and they helped me to book transport for the next leg of my journey in Zanzibar. Breakfast in the lovely palm-tree shaded street-side cafe included great coffee and a good selection of meals. The BnB is located right in the heart of Stone Town and within easy walking distance of lots of great restaurants and the famous Forodhani food market. Thanks for a great stay!

we were in stone town a few years ago and stayed here for 3 nights, so we popped in to see the owner and have a chat and a cup of her fantastic coffee, tasted just the same, and she remembered us. Had a chat and a catch-up, great place to stay and meet up with people or just for coffee or breakfast, try the coconut bread !

Room Tip: all rooms are the same, they have only 3

I booked this B&B based off other reviews and I'm so glad I did. We were a little nervous at first because it's sort of hidden off the road but this place is wonderful. Our room was really comfortable, large beds, mosquito nets, hot shower and the staff is really nice. We visited during Ramadan so their cafe was closed until nighttime but they gave us coupons to eat breakfast at the tembo hotel down the street which was fine with us! The staff was really friendly and would guide us where we would visit and give us directions. We really enjoyed our stay here and were so grateful for the air conditioned rooms!

A superb little oasis in the center of Stone Town. We had lunch under the palm trees, with relief from the sun and the heat. Food was excellent. I had beef with garlic butter and my wife had grilled tuna. Both were really excellent, much better than any other beef or tuna we had had during two weeks in Tanzania. Service was attentive, but it took a while to get the food. It probably was because our drinks (ginger tea), which were served with the food, came from their Arabic menu, and the Arabic kitchen was closed on Mondays, so I guess they had to run somewhere else to get it (rather than suggesting we order something else for drinks). Prices were very reasonable.
