Someone recommended us to eat there, and I recommend it to you. We had dinner there, and enjoyed the service and the quality of food. Starter soup, fresh fish, a bit of desert, and a little rum to digest :-) Relaxing, and more than worth every Rupee.

This restaurant is very unassuming and we found it on trip advisor. We were driving and found it very difficult to park but realise most would get a taxi (this is also a problem associated with Grand Baie and not this restaurant specifically!) The food was actually very good and enjoyable. To be critical the service was a little slow but to be honest we didn't mind and the staff were very friendly and obviously trying hard. We enjoyed our meal and for our 10 nights in Mauritius it was a tick off the list.

Tired of the cool fusion and chic restaurants in the area, we tried to look for a typical restaurant, far from the turist crowds and from the european/american clichè and we found out La Terrasse. That is what we understood to be the typical local cousine. Fresh fish or chicken with vegetables cooked with indian/chinese influences. We really found what we were looking for. An intimate and authentic maurician experience. Service was very welcoming and very professional and price very moderate. Highly suggested.

Nice small restaurant, run by great staff and visited by primarily locals. The food is good (try octopus with garlic sauce!), wine selection minimal (one choice :)). Good value for money. The only thing bothering is the closeness of the main road (la terasse is just above it), which makes is sometimes disturbing loud (buses passing) - hence 4* review.

We had dinner twice during our holiday and we found this restaurant to have the best fish vindaye we had in Mauritius. We also liked the Mauritian style octopus curry. This place itself is nothing fancy; however the service is good, the food is very tasty and also very reasonably priced.
