Really wonderful people, make you feel very welcome. Very chilled and friendly athmosphere. Also good teaching and quite up to date material. Good place to be and hang out if you dont want to spend all your time inside one of the hotels. Spot is super nice, kiting between the beach an the island. Also they have a beach-volleball court, and nice seating area with some magazines to read and relax.
Over all: Nice Spot, very good school and amazing staff, making your stay easy, relaxed and much fun. Sebi&Lena

Me and my Best pal booked a quick sun and bath- holiday, all inclusive and with upgraded room for no money at all. We also had a private transfer, which i recommend.
The room was huge and eventhough full of mosquitoes in the Night time it was nice and tidy having a pentry, a Living room and a bedroom, a terrace facing the sea.bedlinen and sheets, towels and all changed daily, remember to tip the housekeepers, do it personally, some fiery fights were taking place because there were money left in the room and so far... give it personally and give it equally, these guys deserve it.
The staff were helpful and smiling friendly. We got help with SIM cards and other things,
We were to ask after program and times, there were no information at all. We were said we are not to participate in welcome meetings and other business arranged by our company, they themselves claimed they have nothing to do with these activities, besides we had free number to call if any problems occurred. So say no to all activities, they only milk money that way.
The beach was clean and services excellent, clean towels, bar close at hand, no problem with food neither drinks even if alcoholic beverages were diluted ed with water except beer and white wine.
The pool was not warmed and unsuitable for swimming, cold as it was.
The most devastating service was the hairdresser, beauty salon, service was excellent but the committed price was tripled and in a country where an academic earns 10-15 US$ a month, like police and military agents, so ordinary people and shopkeepers have average salary of 50-100 L.E, Egyptian pounds which is equivalent to 3-7 US$.
We paid finally 105 US$ which is like a years salary for locals. Yes the price was cheap for us Scandinavians but our friends got the same for 10US$ for three !!!! people. So be very careful and do not be afraid to say you pay a tenth of the price. After couple of days you get service and suggestion that is more is reasonable. So be hard at the hairdresser or go to a local one, they do skillful job removing facial hair, cleansing, facial masks and manicure plus removal of hair and shaping eyebrows for a total of 1-2,5 US$!!!!
Massage and trips for devastating and insulting prices, book in advance from home.
A trip to Luxor including everything should cost between 35 to 50 US$. A day trip snorkeling +-10 US$, massage from 2US$ and above. You’d be pressed and it is pain in the a... when trying to relax on the sun and have some leisure time. Politely just ask sellers to go, how friendly they even play and have these heartbreaking stories of bad business and family and situation A, B, and C. Don’t listen, just ask politely people to respect your exclusive pay time.
Food was average, luxurious for people from Ukraine and Russia, mediocre trials to us western people I noticed. The dinner being the best of all, lunch can be eaten by the beach or in the restaurant, I recommend the former, it is nice and cosy.
Cleaning good, the shops selling worst kitch ever, inclusive the perfumes containing so much MyrrhGX, the same washing powder is made of, that you get nausea. MYRHH GX is common base for cheap imitation perfumes and washing powder, schampoo and others, real good quality Arabic perfumes are refined, made of pure natural oils, so say no this stench of phthalate- rich copy.
I recently were in Malaysia and saw all these Egyptian items they sell in the gift shop for a 1/100 of a price, so it is cheaper to fly to Kuala Lumpur and bargain than spend a fortune in totally crappy plastic copies of suspect quality and “ mohair” scarfs made in 100 % acrylic... the street outside have a good choice of items for reasonable prices, just remember to decimate the price given, if they do not give you your price just go and go to the next shop. First when the shopkeeper gets angry and shows you out, you have made a good business. Tip, buy all papyrus and others at the Hurghada Airport taxfree for reasonable prices, save time and money.
Finally the Abu Soma Plaza Resort was somewhat worn out, but neat and nice, the staff being the best part. The Resort is spacious and carries something of abandonment over it. Good place for families with children, secure and take a look in the sea, the sea turtles are frequent visitors living close by, the seawater is clean and unpolluted, corals healthy and you can see the most fascinating fish.
And if you are to decent coffee, please bring your own instant coffee with you.
It is not our problem the economical situation is what it is, they are 140 millions of people to change that. So we are not to spoil the locals either and pay us free from resistant sellers, ask what they would pay themselves and why, ask why these overprices. I saw people buy things for 500US$ , 6sculpted items and three papyrus paintings I bought for 60US$- which is still three times over the edge...
And be kind, locals are charming and considerate and helpful when it comes to it.
Summary: cheap and cheerful, nice stuff, value for money spent, good snorkeling, good beach, annoying sellers and mediocre food in clean and spacious surroundings, good serice. Music by the beach annoying sometimes, and the disco was under all critics, like disco in Bukarest or Skt Petersburg, fun though..good hotel for last minute budget holiday, take all inclusive.

-Excellent spot for kitesurfing always windy due to its location.
- Amazing team, I got training from 3 different trainers with 3 different kits and boards to give you more experiences out of your comfort zone.
- They allowed me to kite from the beach, Island and from the middle of deep water while they are following me by boat for rescue if needed.
- Mostafa gave me the riding course and then Abdullah trained me in deep water and finally I got the last session with Ali to sharpening my skills, all of them were a great supporter, honest, perfectly managed my time, you just have to relax and trust them, they are keen to keep you safe and feel relax with this extreme sport.
