Have been going since opening 11 years ago. Warmest hospitality thanks to Alain; greatest food thanks to Joelle. Oh, she's nice too. So, French and Moroccan cuisine, great wine list and all properly priced. The interior decor is smart and the back patio is quite convivial. All romantic.

We had dinner at Joelle's on a comfortable Saturday night, and sat outside on their back patio and ate dinner as we watched the sun set. Joelle's is a place to be savored and not rushed. You have the table for the night and you can sit back and enjoy your entire meal, which will be superb. We started with the roasted pear salad and the grilled romaine salad, had the rack of lamb and pork tenderloin for dinner. Finished with the coconut rum creme carmel and their excellent French press coffee. All of it was perfect. Don't forget to ask if they have their home made limoncello -- crisp and tart and not overly sweet. Joelle's is a bit out of the way, but certainly worth the trip.

joelle is in the kitchen and does a great job. her partner, alain, is the front man and is efficient and convivial. the food and service are excellent. however the wine menu is distressingly small for a restaurant that serves this quality food.there are less than 10 whites and 10 reds total, to choose from. speaking of small, the dining room is small too, having been constructed to be the breakfast room of a bed and breakfast.

BEWARE: their web site is totally obsolete and incorrect. their days of operation, hours of operation and menu, are old and can not be relied on.

Call ahead and be sure you have a reservation before you get off the phone. They take days off whenever they feel like it. Instead of being open 6 days/week, it's currently only 3 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday.)

We have eaten in Joelle's on numerous occasions. Always has had a wonderful meal with a great dining experience. The food is French, with a Moroccon dishes as Joelle had lived in Morocco, which is why we live this place. You can get a great couscous dish as well, with fresh soups and vegetables from the garden next door. The service has been always excellent and friendly with Alan's personal touch. Good selection of wine chosen by Alan. Our favorite French dining place!

We went for a day trip to the Finger Lakes and visited the small town (or village) of Skaneatele. I searched online for a good restaurant and this one popped up. I drove over and it was in the middle of farmland, a couple of miles away from the town. The outdoor sitting was nice as it faces the open land. The tuna steak we ordered was really not good and we only ate hardly half of it. It tasted bland and overcooked. It was a disappointment
