I made a reservation based on TripAdvisor ratings and didn't realize that it was actually French restaurant, since the name doesn't give you any indication. It was a pleasant surprise!
There were three of us. I started with a plate of escargots. they come by the 1/2 dozen and with a slight twist, they have a hint of anise, in addition to the customary parsley, garlic and butter. I think it could have used a little bit more butter, but overall it was yummy. The French Onion soup could have used a bit more cheese on top, and the Grilled Octopus was served with some arugula and a bunch of sliced red onion and was reportedly very well done.
As a main course, I had the Scallops with Risotto. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the risotto had a lot going on, but overall was good. The liver was outstanding and the chicken sandwich was also very good.
For dessert, we share the Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding and that alone was worth the trip. Definitely save some room. It was on the specials menu, so I'm not sure how often the have it, but if they do and you have sweet tooth don't even think twice about it and go for it!
