My grandchildren told us about this place about how good it is. If you like the old time
metal ceiling and walls this is the place. The beef bourguignon was excellent. you did not need a knife to cut the meat and the onion soup was excellent. The best part was
you did not have to sit for 2 hours. Will return again and again.

Classy restaurant with attention to detail. Excellent selection of teas as an added bonus. Decor, presentation, quality - all highest level for any restaurant in the area.

A bit of a clueless waiter and a wrong order, which was not so great, is the reason for mixed rating here, but most of our food was very good and the place is bright and lovely and I think a revisit is warranted, were I in the neighborhood. Excellent beef and barley soup that was extremely thick, but really delicious. Had to ask what the soup specials were. Then later, when reviewing the menu, saw other options and had to ask about those specials...would have been nice to have these shared with us at the outset. We ordered the chicken pot pies, which we were explicitly told were made with vodka sauce, well, when delivered (and waiter not in sight to ask how things were till meal almost over), one of us had vodka sauce (which was tasty) and one of us had some parmesan cream sauce with kale and enough macaroni (odd ingredient) to make mac and cheese; the vodka sauce one was very good however, but the mac and cheese one was bland. The pie crust was excellent, however, flaky and tasty and baked just right. Nice assortment of teas, hot and cold, and has a bit of a tea shop atmosphere. Curried chicken salad was good. The salads accompanying the pies were rather ordinary with tomatoes that never should have been served.

Very pleasantly surprised. It gets very crowded but the tea's are delicious and so was the food. Great date night!
