Visited due to the high Trip Advisor rating. Interesting little place in the downstairs of the "chef's" house. Waitress was incredibly impressed with the dinner we were about to have. However after bragging about her drink making skill she screwed mine up (and then attempted to make it right.....but was forced to admit the bar was out of sweet vermouth). Huh???.....in a "five star" restaurant? Meal was very good but I wasn't thrilled when the chef invited his big dog into the place to wander between the tables. Very expensive.

LOVED our experience here!! Intimate, casual space...only a handful of tables. You are a guest in the chef's home and have the privilege of watching him prepare your meal! We were there on a quiet evening and had the opportunity to chat with Chef Gendron about the amazing layers of flavors and perfect preparation and presentation of his cuisine. Can't wait to return!!

This was our second visit to The Tasting Room at Gendron Catering. Both have been marvelous. Do not be put off by the modest digs and out of the way location. The cuisine is terrific.
This visit we started with Cesar salad and a octopus and fennel appetizer dish. A great lead in. My partner dined on snapper en papillae I contrasted with lamb shank. Both had the same veggies. Both dishes were exquisite. We shared a Baked Nebraska for desert, a flambe vanilla ice cream covered with chocolate.

We will definitely be back!

Our innkeeper recommended this restaurant for a delicious and well-prepared dinner. The off the beaten path location reminded me of a countryside restaurant in Europe not the US. The dining room is intimate, with 5 or so tables, making you feel like you are visiting a friend. The Tasting Room's friendly, knowledgeable server Rosalyn was perfect, the refined menu offered fresh choices, seriously considered ingredients, prepared with layers of loving care by Daniel with respect for the food and the guest. From start to finish it exceeded my expectations.
