Small and very noisy place, but the food is excellent and the service is fine. Their bread and home made pate are excellent. I have eaten there many times. Their salads are great, salad cassis is mixed greens, beets, and blue cheese. They have a frisee and lardons salad with poached egg (great for brunch too) and their caesar salad is fair. Their fried calamari is among the best around, and their mussels are a specialty. Their duck and pan roasted chicken are superb, with crisp skin that melts in your mouth and makes you forget about your elevated LDL. My daughter, a pescatarian, recently had tagliatelle with shrimp and she loved it. On Fridays they have bouillabaise which is great. The mousse is excellent and their profiteroles (two served with delicious chocolate sauce and fresh whipped cream) are delightful. My only complaint is that if you split a dish, they bring you an empty plate and do not split the dish in the kitchen.

Good food, good service and nice atmosphere. Sarah and Amy were a pleasure.
The duck was very good, though it was deep fried. I would get it again..

Tasty fare served in a warm bistro atmosphere. Everything we've eaten here has been good, but a bit pricey. Tend toward French wines. A nice change from time to time.

Just got home from Brasserie Cassie.
How could my experience be so different from what others have written?
Its a local place that I have always meant to try and it is restaurant week. What better reason!
The food was good, portions were small. No problem.
Service was bad. The place was not busy and we were rushed. We sat down, and the waitress immediately appears asking about drinks. No problem but I do need to see what's offered. And I had to ask for the restaurant week menus. How odd.
The food was delivered by another individual who might have been in the witness protection program. He just dropped the plates on the table (all three courses) without stopping to catch his breath. Waitress was no where when we wanted a second round of drinks. But there she was dropping off the check mid way thru our desserts.
Although not busy, the place had a high noise level. Hostess was nice.
No need to return here.

This restaurant is a little pricey and can be noisy on weekends but the food is terrific. Great for a special occasion or just a splurge. The lunch menu is also very good. We loved the steak frites, My wife stated with escargots (I can't, sorry) while I had a special appetizer. The onion soup is probably their most popular starter but try something new rather than the tired and traditional. Seared tuna was a wonderful entree. Desserts were large enough to share and very tasty.
