Much more interesting than the shops surrounding the church! Beautifully decorated and intimate, well worth a visit.

If you take the bus to Oia, you'll likely walk up the path that will bring you to this church, which is right in the center of the town. The interior is beautiful, as are most Orthodox churches in Greece. It's also convenient for when you want to go back to the bus as a marker.

Church of Panagia Platsani was originally built on the edge of the village of Oia.
The church was rebuilt in the village centre due to the unstable cliffs.

The church bares the classic white wash with the blue dome roof that the island is famous for in many postcards.

The six bells on the top of the church is an interesting feature.

This church is one of the traditional buildings that is used in the Santorini adverts. We only saw the church from the square but it was beautiful. A white-washed church with a blue dome and bells. View from the church over the bay are worth looking at. Would like an interior visit on any future trip.

Not sure quaint is the right word for a church but shall use it. I really don't do churches or religion but you are in Santorini and that's what makes this beautiful island what it is. This church is tiny and worth a visit. You can take pics but no flash. You will get told off lol. The voice of experience speaking here lol. I did think it was off. Best do this as part of a few things on a day as its tiny. Try Santo winery after its close by.
