Wonderful stay, highly recommend

We stayed for 3 nights here and it was wonderful. The pool is fantastic and the location is wonderful- just outside the centre of Oia, a very easy 5 minute walk. The room was adequate with everything you could need (including a fridge) plus a comfortable bed. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful and even do port/airport transfers for a very reasonable price. The only thing we'd change is upgrading to a room with a balcony (or a villa). The restaurant is also great value with delicious and authentic food. Overall, great experience and highly recommend!

First of all the service and staff was the most friendly, that we have ever met on our many trips. Especially Dmitri was very friendly and cheerful and made us feel very welcome at the hotel.
The rooms are very nice and we had a nice terrace with an amazing view of the water. WiFi was free and made our planning so much easier, as there was WiFi at the pool, the restaurant and the rooms - very helpful indeed. The breakfast was fine and the restaurant was incredibly cozy and nice, a perfect place to enjoy your breakfast and start your day.

The hotel is very close to the centre of the Main Street of Oia and it was so nice to be in a walking distance of everything.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back to Santorini and the Anemomilos Hotel again!

In a town teeming with very high-priced luxury accommodation, Anemomilos Hotel provided our family of four - two teens/two parents with very affordable, central and hospitable accommodation. As we were only on Santorini for three nights, we wanted to stay fairly central, so Oia was our first choice. However we found most hotel rates prohibitively expensive for our budget. We were very pleased with the two bedroom apartment at Anemomilos. Furnishings were very simple but comfortable enough for a few nights. Location amazing. I think the best part of this property is its owner - Spiros - very welcoming and relaxed, the pool - large and with a lovely sea view, restaurant - authentic Greek cuisine and lastly, the breathtaking caldera view from the rooftop terrance right outside of our apartment. A wonderful place for morning yoga and coffee.

This is the second year in a row myself and my husband have stayed at Anemomilos. This hotel is fantastic, the staff are friendly and the food is great! The size of the pool is also a positive. If I was to stay in Oia again I would definitely stay at Anemomilos as it has everything I need.

Our room was on the other side of the road, so we had a different view from the one you "expect", but we actually preferred that. It was much more private and secluded.

The room was nice and clean, perfect for our stay and everything we needed was less than a minute a walk away.

Our room was actually not on the 'complex' as such but just down the road.

Overall, the hotel was a very decent price for what we got. Great food, friendly staff and everything you need.

Having visited Athens, Naxos, and stayed in Fira for a couple of nights, we ended our mini odyssey here at the Anemomilos. To be frank, if you are coming to Oia on a budget, you'll be disappointed. We were, and there is little to do - sure the town is pretty, but it's boring after a couple of days.

The hotel itself is okay, however, if you check my other reviews, it is not only more expensive then most other hotels we paid for on our travels, but the most resoundingly mediocre. Our first impressions were dreadful, a thick layer of bleach lined our hotel room, the fridge stank and there was no safe. Then, wanting to sit out at the pool, no one would bother to get any sunbeds for us. Then, there is the walk into the town centre, a horrible walk through a incredibly busy road, having to brush up next to buses and squeeze your way through.

However, as the week went on the pool proved a good facility, and our rooms were cleaned every day.

My advice to those considering coming here, the area is one of the worst places to stay on budget, go down to Kamari or stay in Fira if you're set on Santorini. Having been to 7 greek islands however, it is over rated and I suggest looking at Kefalonia or Naxos.

The hotel is rightly 1 star, a get what you pay for job.
