I spent three nights here solo (sniff, sniff) at the end of September/beginning of October. It was fantastic. The home and rooms are charming, and the hosts are beyond kind and helpful.
A Loy of care has been put into the home and rooms, and it shows. It doesn't have the modern hotel amenities like a big TV, but the furnishings were all classic French. They ask you don't eat in the room, and I can't blame them, but they have both an outdoor and indoor picnic spots for the guests. Breakfast was simple, but made with care and it was delicious.
The hosts were incredibly helpful with sites and things to do. It wasn't just a blanket list, either. They got to know each guest and their interests, and they made suggestions based on that. Heck, my next stop was the Loire Valley, and they made suggestions and routes for chateaus there, and that's four hours away!
As a solo traveler, in a place more suited to couples, they made me feel very welcome. I would recommend this place without reservation. More
