We stayed at the Moonlite Motel because we came into town and had no reservations and could not find any elsewhere. We knew we would not be spending much time in the room and wanted a clean place to shower and sleep. The room is small, one side of bed is up against the wall. Refrigerator worked great. A little worn around the edges. It was quiet and clean. Pool looked clean and had lots of flowers all around the motel and pool. Close to restaurants such as Denny's, Bob Evans, and a Target nearby. Takes about 5 minutes to get to falls. Breakfast is pastries and coffee, but what do you expect for the price? You can park right in front of your room and move your luggage in quickly. Owners were friendly. It was a good place to stay to save money. We spent 2 nights at a nicer hotel in Canada with a great view with the money we saved. Nothing fancy about it at all. And if you are going into Canada, be ready for high food prices and expensive hotels, although it is the nicer side.

As with several other reviewers, we were steered to the Moonlite by a lady at the NY Welcome Center on the freeway, who accurately described it as old but clean & cheap. The room was nicely sized and comfortable, if a bit dimly lighted. The owner, who lives on premises, was friendly and accomodating.
The neighborhood, like the motel, is old and a little scruffy but didn't appear in the least unsafe. There are several eating choices nearby. We took both day & night tours of Niagara Falls and the tours picked up & dropped off at the motel.
All in all, a reasonable choice if you want adequate but not fancy at a price to match.

If you are looking for a plush place, keep searching. But, if you want a cheap stay in a clean room then book it. The room is on the smaller side, but we only had two people so it was fine. The beds are getting saggy... but still ok for a night or two visit. What we paid for two nights was the same cost as one night in the upper end hotels. You get what you pay for! I have to admit, the breakfast is kind of a joke... but what do you expect for such a low price. McDonald's was two blocks down the road and Dunkin Donuts was three blocks. The owner was very nice and helpful! She accidentally overcharged by $1... and knocked on our door to return in and apologize. The whole city of Niagara Falls is run down, not just this road. We researched this before we went so we pretty much knew what to expect.
