The Pines is right out of a movie set or somewhere you would read about in Travel + Leisure. It's a gem of a local spot that is very welcoming and super hip. The decor is charming and cozy. The bar makes delicious seasonal fresh cocktails and plays cool music. You must try the local beef burger on English muffin, Sriracha mayo, and yummy hand cut fries! We also tried the tiramisu and chocolate pudding parfait. Can't wait to go back again!

I love The Pines! I tried the Farro Salad, the seasonal squash kale omelette, the Chubby Squirrel sweet pastry and the divine biscuit! All ingredients are sourced locally as much as possible, the eggs are farm-fresh and local. The pear butter is made from the pears growing on the trees on the property. I mean can’t get any more local than that. Everyone that works there is super friendly and helpful.

The brunch is casual, order at the counter, then grab silverware and water at the serving table and then grab a seat! Food will be out soon... enjoy free WiFi or read a book! The pastries are incredible! Met the pastry chef Craig, his pastries are works of deliciousness.

They have a beautiful full bar open in the evenings, currently Thurs-Sunday and soon to be open on Wednesday’s too. There’s a live music calendar on their website for evening performances.

There’s an Inn upstairs that’s about to open any day now. Rooms for rent any day now. How perfect to dine and then go upstairs to sleep after enjoying music and good times downstairs.

Owner Jeremy did all the renovations of this circa-1800’s building himself. He’s a master craftsman and his love and artistic passion shows in the remodeling details. The local artist Thorneater hand-drew the most spectacular drawings on the walls of the restaurant bathrooms and hallway leading to the bathroom, it’s unbelievable the amount of talent on the walls! A must see!

They also have great merch! T-shirts, tote bags, cd’s and other local products.

Do yourself a favor and drop in and chill out in The Pines!

The Pines is the reinvention of a local landmark by a Woodstock native and popular musician, Burnell Pines. The atmosphere is woodsy and homey, the food is fresh and well prepared, and there's even music by some Woodstock luminaries from time to time. It has become a local favorite for good reason. Take a beautiful, winding drive about 15 minutes west of Woodstock through lovely Catskill scenery and you'll find it, just before the tiny hamlet of Mt. Tremper. You'll be glad you did.

The Pines is a wonderful revival of the ever-locally-famous restaurant Tiso's that was a landmark in the Mt. Tremper neighborhood for many years. The new owners have created a wonderful homage to the mountain aesthetic in their creative decor with several different rooms for dining. All the food is made in house and delicious! We visited when they first opened and look forward to going back soon to see what new items they've added to their menu.
