Wonderful location, close to main highways but you'd never know they were there, amazing Colonial-era home and farm where time slows down. Mary runs a low-key establishment, very quiet, - step back in time, and enjoy it!!

A charming and quiet inn. Mary and Scott make you feel like family immediately. We have stayed here twice, will be back and highly recommend it. Lots of public space, horses outside, bountiful breakfast.

My husband and I recently stayed here, in search of a quaint, quiet weekend getaway. The house is absolutely beautiful and we felt right at home. Our hostess, Mary was so friendly and cooked us a wonderful breakfast, and we enjoyed a lovely conversation with her about the history of the house as well as things to do in the local area. We are really looking forward to returning.

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary in Natchitoches Louisiana. We stayed at.the Violet Hill Bed and Breakfast. It was not our first visit to this lovely historic town but it was our first time to stay at the Violet Hill b and b. We have stay at many b and b's but this was the first time we ever felt like it was actually our home. Miss LaVerne is as gracious as can be and is the epitome of hospitality. The house is lovely could use a little paint here and there but is furnished just like a b and b in Louisiana should be. We stayed in the Stem Wheeler room and our king size bed had beautiful linens and was very comfy . I loved the old clawfoot tub and oh my those gorgeous rose sinks were just wonderful. Now we don't like to get up very early but it was so worth it for the delicious breakfast we enjoyed both mornings. We like to park the car and walk to every thing and this house is in a great location for just that. So I highly recommend this lovely house and the gracious proprietor.

We stayed here during a recent visit to Bethel Woods for a concert. But when we got to the b&b and sat down on the 2nd floor porch overlooking the farm and horses, we didn't want to leave. It truly was tranquil. Room was comfortable and clean, innkeeper Mary was very lovely. Breakfast was delicious. If we are ever back in this area, we would absolutely stay here again.
