I don't typically dine at french restaurants but my wife and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary here and we loved the place. Very great food and great vibe and ambiance. Highly recommend the lobster risotto and crab cakes! A must visit when staying in Lake George!

We enjoyed the food and ambience. The service was very good and we were able to talk since it was quiet. Recommended.

Upon our arrival at Bistro Le Roux we noted signage that read, "Chef owned and operated". So before entering we had great expectations.
To our delight, not only was the food deliciously prepared (and pleasantly served), but we had a choice of food portions!
My husband and i sampled the French onion soup, (savory broth, flavorful cheese and crouton), the marvelous!!! Caesar cobb salad and the scallop entree. (I still can't get over the creamy mashed potatoes with peas...).
In spite of the crowded dining room we felt as though we had a private table. In other words the acoustics are effective. If we lived in the area this restaurant would be a favorite.

Our server was so friendly and welcoming, but not intrusive. The food was unusually good. I had the pear salad with marscapone cheese and soft cranberries and greens. Yumm. My husband had an unusual Caesar chopped salad with egg and a crostini with pesto. He loved it. We both had really tender rib eye steaks with bacon and horseradish mashed potatoes. Perfect steaks. A delicious entree. Nice dinner.

Went with wife and 10 year old daughter for dinner, all loved it. Staff was very nice, we were greeted warmly on our way in and out by just about every person who worked there. The food was great, and the half portions were perfect size for vacationers like us. Highly recommend!
