We visited Lake George slightly after Labor Day, when a lot of the town has shut down for the season. Barnsider was still going and I got the impression it has a loyal local following.
We chose to sit outside so never saw indoors. A good number of other families were there on a Tuesday evening. Service was quick and very friendly. We chose local draught beers from the list, and were given some helpful food recommendations from Mariah, our waitress.
Food portions were great - neither of us could even consider dessert! The food was good quality, very fair for the price. You can certainly get better BBQ food, but you'd also pay more. I had BBQ brisket with two sides for $19, my dining companion had the brisket sandwich with one side for $12.
