This restaurant suffered a fire in December of 2012. Not sure if Doug is planning to reopen, but damage extensive enough that it will be some months before that is possible. Same for Mercato next door!

Stopped here for dinner while visiting Cornell. Bright and cheery inside with a diverse menu. But the execution lacks a bit. Had a good curry chicken and a bland pork shank dish. Baked Mac and Cheese app was good and chili was good, if a bit too spicy for my taste. If you like spicy its probably very good. Service was friendly and efficient. Good beer and wine selection. Overall, not bad. Have heard burgers are very good.

Frankly confused by some of the poor reviews given I eat here with some regularity and have never had a bad meal. I have to say this place has one of the very best burgers in town. Not a drinker so can't say anything about that side of things, but bar seems to be consistently busy with attentive staff. Also family friendly though becomes more cosmopolitan feel as the evening wears on. Portions are generous, and chef accomodating of requests for alteration (I hate bell peppers, they are always happy to leave them out of a dish if they can). Definitely worth a visit!

First time we ate their was a year ago. We had a dinner for a friends birthday and we put up with the bad food and bad service and did not make a fuss because it was our friends birthday. Alas we have been back for appetizers and lunch and drinks at the bar. Every time we have been back we have had issues with quality of some or all of the food. Clearly they really do not understand what quality food is or realize how to give good customer service. So friends in from out of town tonight and he said they wanted to go... and against our better judgement we went again....ughhhh. Such a mistake!

First we ordered a $17 appetizer....a sampler of all the blue stone "specialities". OMG...25 minutes later all the disaster came ...the calamari was so burnt it was unedible, the bagged chips for the black bean salsa was the only decent part on the plate. There was also raw pastry dough beggers purse filled with something no one at the table could destinguish. The chicken skewers were dry and over cooked actually burnt. Crab cakes that were extremly greasy and a few sauces that didnt accompany any of the items very well to begin with. i told the server how displeased we were. Another server told us they would take it off the bill which would have been appropriate as it was pretty much not edible and clearly had been not taken very good care of across the board from start to finish. However the bill came and they took 1/2 off. Rediculous!

The pizza that was ordered as an entree was delivered so black and burnt that it was not edible either. We waited about 10 minutes before the server returned and she could see that it was black around the edges and the cheese was so brown and charred....i was imazed that the person delivering this didnt realize and that they would even send something out of the kitchen like that to begin with.

The two burgers that were ordered actually looked good undercooked for medium but starved we ate them... the fries however were again scorched beyond what they should have been allowed to even make it to the plate. My out of town friend asked for mustard to which the server replied well we only have grey poupon. which he said sure....it never made it back to the table.

After spending $75 dollars we left hungry and extremely disappointed. Again So horrible...Never will go back!!!!

From some one that has worked in a fine dining restaurant here in town since 1997 this experience had to be by far the worst and most rediculous I have ever had.

We went here for the first time with some out-of-town friends on a summer Saturday. I called ahead because members of our party of five have some sensory issues with loud, clatter-y restaurants and having never been here I wanted to get a sense of whether it was appropriate. The woman answering the phone was very warm, very nice, and assured me that it was a small restaurant and there would be no trouble hearing conversation over the table.

She was right about the size but wrong about the noise. When we were seated at 6:30 after the minimal wait we were promised, things were not too bad but about 20 minutes later the music got cranked up, and as the place filled (half of it is a bar) the noise level was such that the people in our party next to or across from each other had difficulty hearing each other, and those at the diagonal end of the tables, forget it.

This might have been offset by great service or food but unfortunately we got neither. The server was very indifferent and had a "whatever" kind of attitude. Strangely, there were pieces of colored chalk on the banquette seating as we went to sit down, luckily nobody sat on one. Also were some pieces on the table. Even though this was pointed out to the server we needed to remove them ourselves--still not sure why they were there.

Our party of 5 ordered a variety of dishes; including appetizer, soups and main dishes. The gazpacho and fish bisque were good; the smashed red bliss potatoes very good; and the green beans were perfectly cooked. Otherwise, the steak sandwich had a very small piece of flavorless steak; the WIC burger was OK but not the BBQ sauce; the artichoke souffle a disappointment. My daughter ordered the fish and chips, which we were told had two substantial size fish fillets. It turned out that there were two sticks of tasteless tilapia encased in a very brown underseasoned breading with some scorch marks. Either the fish was fried for too long or the oil seriously needed to be changed.

Similarly, my Montre Chicken, advertised as "pan-fried" which to me conjured up an image of a plump & juicy piece of chicken with the described 'red wine lemon caper demi'. The chicken came back looking like the fish--a heavy coating fried to a very stiff dark brown with charred edges--again, too long in the pan or dirty oil. The worst part was that the breading was thicker than the chicken! I hate that....It had a few pieces of scallions and capers thrown on top. The sauce was eh.

At the end of the meal we were asked about desserts--"there's only one--hot fudge sundae".

Bill came to $110.

It was kind of embarrassing to bring company to this place, and I would not return.
